What a successful Fiesta ng Bayan 2026 – Buwan ng Wika / Filipino Language Month celebration!

We asked a lot of people about the event and we are so happy to hear that everyone enjoyed it! It was truly family-friendly, full of tawanan, kwentuhan, and that warm Filipino feeling.

Yes, there were a few hiccups and funny moments along the way (that's what makes a real fiesta, di ba? 😂), but it was never dull at all!

People truly enjoyed the camaraderie, the games, the food, and most of all, the CHILDREN– seeing them enjoy the pabitin and all the palaro was the highlight of our day. That’s why we do what we do – para sa kanila at para sa ating wika at kultura.

Kumusta everyone! Quick heads up about parking due to construction in the City:

🚫 Bailey's Corner Parking is NOT available due to construction.

You can park at:
✅ Ainslie Place - few spots (behind Canberra Museum + Gallery)
✅ Back of Sebel Hotel, Ainslie Place - limited spots
✅ Open parking lot, Constitution Ave corner London Circuit - bigger lot, 5-min walk
✅ BEST OPTION: Canberra Centre – $3 flat rate for whole day on weekends! Just a short walk to us.

Don't worry, we will put up signages to help you find us!

HOW TO FIND THE VENUE:
📍 Function Room, Level 2, Theo Notaras Multicultural Centre
180 London Circuit, Civic – We’re right on top of / beside Canberra Museum + Gallery.

On the ground floor, look for the sliding doors and the statue of Theo Notaras – then take the lift or stairs to Level 2. You can’t miss us!

What a way to start! A huge THANK YOU to our FLSC family - parents, teachers, and kids - who represented us beautifully at the ACTLCSA Open Day on 17 May. Your bahay kubo performance was a hit! 👏

Classes are back every Sunday, 2-4 PM at Woden & Gungahlin Libraries. It’s not too late to join us and let your children discover the beauty of our Filipino language and culture.
