SERVICE ABOVE SELF 💙💛
It was a privilege to present Certificates of Appreciation from the Rotary Club Of Brisbane International , recognising two wonderful supporters of our Homeless Food Drive during our 2025–2026 “Unite for Good” year.

🤝 Ansary Muhammed and the team at Merciful Servants — standing alongside RCBI in taking meals directly to those experiencing homelessness and hardship.
🤝 Kumar of Sunnybank Hills Pharmacy — a valued supporter who has continued to stand behind our Club and the work we do in our community.

Partnerships like these remind us that community service is never achieved alone. It takes people, families, businesses and organisations willing to step forward, lend a hand and turn compassion into action.

Together, we have helped provide more than 15,000 meals since RCBI’s Charter — but behind every number is a person who needed a meal, a helping hand and the reassurance that someone cares.

To Ansary, Hitesh and everyone who continues to stand behind RCBI — thank you for being part of our journey.

🍲 AUGUST FOOD DRIVE — SERVICE ABOVE SELF 💙💛
August is here, and it’s already time for another Rotary Club Of Brisbane International Food Drive — continuing a commitment that has been at the heart of our Club since our Charter

This month, we are incredibly grateful to welcome back one of our regular and long-standing supporters — the Chauhan Family — Manoj Chauhan & Kirthi Chauhan & Family.
Year after year, the Chauhan Family are among the first to put their hands up to support us — whether it’s sponsoring our Food Drives, supporting our charity fundraisers, or through their children giving their time and energy to serve with our Rotaract Club.
They may often serve from the sidelines, but their contribution makes a very real difference.
Service Above Self comes in many forms — and families like the Chauhans show us exactly what that means. 🙏

🍲 MORE THAN 15,000 MEALS — AND STILL COUNTING
Since the Charter of the Rotary Club of Brisbane International, our commitment to helping people experiencing homelessness and hardship has seen us prepare and distribute more than 15,000 hot meals.
Behind every number is a person — someone sleeping rough, someone struggling to make ends meet, or someone who simply doesn't know where their next hot meal is coming from.
Homelessness isn't always visible. Rising living costs, housing pressures, family breakdown and unexpected circumstances can change someone's life very quickly.
Our Food Drive cannot solve homelessness — but a hot meal, a friendly conversation and knowing somebody cares can make a difference.

🙏 A SPECIAL MENTION — Sadhu Prasad UNCLE
A separate and heartfelt acknowledgement must go to Sadhu Prasad Uncle, who is always there to lend a helping hand.
Quietly, consistently and without expecting recognition, he continues to support our Food Drives whenever a hand is needed.
Sadhu Uncle, thank you for simply always being there. ❤️
It is people like you who remind us that Service Above Self isn't about recognition — it's about showing up, lending a hand and making a difference.

💊 THE FIRST PRESCRIPTION OF VITAMIN US HAS BEEN DELIVERED! 💊
What a wonderful afternoon of Rotary fellowship, friendship and fun as the first prescription of VITAMIN US was delivered on Saturday at the residence of our President Deva Naiker and First Lady Sashi Naiker, of the Rotary Club Of Brisbane International

With a colourful Dhoti & Kurta – South Indian theme, Rotarians and guests dressed for the occasion and enjoyed a delicious Dosa lunch, plenty of laughter, great conversations and, most importantly, the fellowship that makes Rotary so special.

President Deva’s VITAMIN US is really quite simple:
💙 U and S coming together.
💛 Building friendships.
💙 Welcoming new people into our Rotary family.
💛 Sharing conversations that can become ideas.
💙 And turning those conversations into ACTION.

It was wonderful to see members and guests relaxing, connecting and simply enjoying each other’s company — because strong fellowship builds strong clubs, and strong clubs can Create Lasting Impact.
A huge thank you to President Deva and First Lady Sashi for opening their home and their hearts and hosting such a memorable afternoon.

The first dose of VITAMIN US has officially been prescribed…and judging by Saturday, we may need a repeat prescription! 😄💊

🏆 A PROUD MOMENT FOR THE Rotary Club of Brisbane International 🏆

We are delighted to announce that the Rotary Club of Brisbane International has achieved the Rotary International 2025–2026 Club Excellence Award.

This wonderful recognition celebrates a truly memorable “Unite for Good” year and acknowledges our Club for fostering a positive experience for our members while reflecting the values of Rotary.

👏 Congratulations to 2025–2026 President Dipak Amratlal , his Board of Directors, and every member of RCBI who contributed their time, energy, passion and commitment throughout the year.

This award belongs to every member who volunteered, supported our projects, welcomed new members, strengthened our fellowship and helped turn conversations into action.

ROTARY CONNECTS US ACROSS THE WORLD 🌏 🇮🇳 🇦🇺
What a wonderful evening of fellowship, connection and growth at the Rotary Club Of Brisbane International

Tonight, we had the pleasure of welcoming Past President Rotarian Ramesh Babu Mamidala, Past President of the Rotary Club of Warangal, Telangana, India, who is currently visiting Brisbane.
Rotary truly connects us wherever we are in the world! 🌏
The Rotary Club of Warangal was formed in 1954 and today has an impressive 105 members. What better opportunity than to come together, exchange stories and share the fellowship that makes Rotary such a global family.

Tonight was also very special as we welcomed Sumeet Singh into the RCBI family as our newest Rotarian. 🎉
Sumeet has already been an active supporter of our club, regularly assisting with our Food Drives, so his induction is another natural step in his Rotary journey.
Welcome, Sumeet! We look forward to serving, growing and creating lasting friendships together.

Despite it being a public holiday in Brisbane, we were delighted to have more than 15 members attend and join hands with President Deva Naiker as we continue our journey to CREATE LASTING IMPACT.

There is a real sense of excitement about the year ahead.
President Deva's message of VITAMIN US reminds us that the strength of Rotary is in all of us — connecting, growing, serving and supporting one another.

🌟 CREATE LASTING IMPACT — WHAT A GRAND START! 🌟

What better way to begin our Rotary year than by growing our Rotary family!

This Wednesday, the Rotary Club Of Brisbane International proudly welcomes and inducts three new Rotarians — Manu, Sumeet and Vijay. 🎉

Three new members. Three new voices. Three more pairs of hands ready to serve. What a wonderful start to our Create Lasting Impact year!

We are also delighted to welcome as our special guest Rotarian Ramesh Babu Mamidala, Past President of the Rotary Club of Warangal, Telangana, India, who is visiting his daughter in Brisbane. 🇮🇳🇦🇺
Rotary connects us wherever we are in the world — and what better opportunity to come together and share the fellowship of Rotary.

❤️ TURNING CONVERSATIONS INTO ACTION

The evening will also have a very special service focus as we present our friends Di & Phil from The Salvation Army with 5 Domestic Violence Starter Packs, helping victims of domestic violence as they rebuild their lives and make a fresh start.
And this is only the beginning!

As President Deva Naiker reminds us, this will also be a “Vitamin US” year — a year where WE connect, WE grow, WE serve and WE make an impact together.

The Rotary wheel keeps turning — and together we will keep turning conversations into action.

The Create Lasting Impact Board looks forward to welcoming all our members and guests this Wednesday.
