We were absolutely blown away by the tenacity & drive of everyone this year! Definitely difficult conditions, but all the teams kept their batons going around the track all night 💜

Relay isn't just a fundraiser. It is a true community event.

In addition to the incredible, life saving funds raised at FNQ Relay For Life 2026 (now almost $138k!) we also managed to collect over 100kgs of non-perishables for OzHarvest Queensland to donate to those experiencing food shortages in our local community.

How cool is the Cairns community?! We have been inundated with amazing support from our community for this event 🙌

Shout outs from today include:
🍦 Gelocchio for donating their INCREDIBLE gelato for our Midnight Munchies Cafe
⚡️ Ergon for letting us borrow their marquees (and coming to set them up!)
🚚 Brothers Cairns who paid for the ENTIRETY of our stage this year
& 🐄 Mungalli Creek Dairy who gave us SO MUCH yogurt for brekkie & our cafe

We couldn't do this without the support of the community and local businesses & it really warms our hearts on days like these to remember how many amazing people there are in Cairns 💜

Can't wait to see you all tomorrow morning!!! Happy night before Relay 🎉
