I've crossed paths with many remarkable people over the years, and Sgt J.E. Roberts was certainly one of them."

He joined the Royal Air Force on 14 April 1948 and served until 1957.

He always walked tall and looked you straight in the eye. A man of dignity, pride and quiet strength.

It was a real pleasure sitting with you and listening to your stories.

Rest in peace, my friend. It was an honour to have known you. 🌺

As a Military Motorcycle Club, we mourn the loss of Corporal Brendan Hannam, who lost his life during a training exercise.

Our thoughts are with his partner, children, family, mates, and fellow soldiers.

Rest easy, Corporal.
Lest We Forget.

As President of the Patriots Australia Military Motorcycle Club – Cairns Chapter, I want to express our sincere gratitude to Operation Blankie and especially Tanslee for creating this incredible Spirit of Remembrance Rug for us.

This rug is far more than a beautiful handmade piece. It reflects more than a century of Australian military service, remembering the places where Australians have served and sacrificed—from Gallipoli and France to Vietnam, Korea, Afghanistan, Iraq, Timor-Leste and many others.

It is an absolute honour for our chapter to receive this special rug. We will proudly share its story and the meaning behind it, keeping the spirit of remembrance alive within our veteran community and the wider community.

There will be more to come about this very special rug and how its story can help us continue supporting our veterans and their families. We look forward to sharing more with you soon.

Our sincere thanks to the people who put countless hours, skill and heart into creating this beautiful piece.

We are honoured to carry its story. We are committed to supporting those who served.

🇦🇺🌺 Lest We Forget.
