🐾 Happening today: North Queensland Animal Rescue at Cairns Pride Fair Day!

Today is the day, and we’ve got some very special guests joining us. From 10am, North Queensland Animal Rescue (NQAR) will be at Fair Day with some of their rescue dogs, and they’d love you to come and say hi.

Meet the dogs, chat to the volunteers about adoption, and find out how you can help. NQAR is a Cairns-based charity run entirely by volunteers, and every dog in their care is looked after in a loving foster home until they find their forever family. Adopt, don’t shop!

They’ll also be entering some of their dogs in the Pride Dog Show at 10.25am, so come and cheer them on. 🐶

📅 Today, Sunday 25 October
🕙 NQAR is here from 10am to 1pm
📍 Tank 3, Tanks Arts Centre

Thank you, NQAR, for joining us. 🌈

⚔️ Step into the world of Swordcraft! ⚔️

We’re excited to welcome the Cairns Chapter (Weitnördich) of Swordcraft to Cairns Pride Fair Day this Sunday! 🌈✨

Swordcraft is Australia’s largest medieval battle and live-action roleplaying game (LARP) — where warriors clash with authentic-looking foam weapons, dressed in real steel armour, chain maille, leather, and high-quality costumes inspired by the epic worlds of medieval and grimdark fantasy. 🛡️⚔️

Here in Cairns, the Weitnördich Chapter is building a vibrant community of LARPers through fortnightly battle games and roleplay events.

🧙‍♂️ Must be 15+ to participate in local Battle Games
🎟️ Membership required to join

Visit their stall this Sunday at Cairns Pride Fair Day and get a taste of the adventure! ⚔️🌿
