FNQ Dementia Alliance

FNQ Dementia Alliance To support people living with dementia and create dementia-friendly communities in Cairns and beyond

Far North Queensland Dementia Alliance was started by a passionate group of members of Edge Hill Memorial Bowls Club, including a dementia advocate, George Burnett, to create a dementia-friendly community, where people living with dementia are included, supported, and empowered to live their best life. We aim to increase the community's awareness and understanding of dementia to eliminate the stigmas and bring people and organisations of Cairns and FNQ together to expand this initiative.
