The Singapore Yachting Festival will be held from 22 - 25 April 2027 at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove. Singapore is the gateway and hub of Asia's marine industry, with the show attracting many visitors from around the region.

AIMEX and Superyacht Australia are partnering with the Marina Industries Association (MIA) to host an Australian shared stand. This collaboration creates a united Australian presence at one of the region’s key yachting events and will provide a central platform for members to showcase their businesses, connect with customers and industry stakeholders and explore opportunities across the growing Asia-Pacific marine market.

SYA & SYGGBR NEWS - A 127-metre superyacht currently berthed in Cairns is expected to contribute close to $1.95 million to the local economy during its stay, highlighting the significant economic opportunity that large superyachts can deliver to the region, confirmed by Superyacht Australia and Superyacht Group Great Barrier Reef (SYGGBR).

Based on Superyacht Australia’s visitation modelling, the estimated economic contribution includes approximately $641,000 in crew spending on food, retail, hospitality and recreation, and a further $1.23 million in vessel expenditure with local marine businesses and contractors engaged to service, provision and maintain the yacht.

Built by Oceanco in the Netherlands, its presence in Cairns highlights where the region can benefit most from superyacht visitation. Superyachts of this size require a wide network of specialist local trades to keep them in perfect condition during a visit, including shipwrights, engineers, divers, detailers, riggers, provisioners, fuel and logistics providers and hospitality operators. Every day a vessel like this is in port, it is local businesses and their employees who are doing the work.

Dockside 2026 brings the superyacht industry together for an evening of waterfront hospitality, connection and celebration in Cairns. Held on Sailfish Quay at Cairns Marlin Marina and set against a backdrop of resident and visiting superyachts, the event provides a unique opportunity for captains, crew, industry professionals, local businesses and stakeholders to come together in a relaxed dockside setting.

The invitation to attend Dockside is now open to all Superyacht Australia members, expanding the event beyond the Great Barrier Reef region and providing the perfect opportunity for members from Sydney, Brisbane, the Gold Coast and beyond to visit Cairns to connect with the wider superyacht community.

Tickets to the event are allocated on a membership level. All members received an EDM to offer more details about the exciting event.

Superyacht Australia members visited Nawi Island Marina in Savusavu, Vanua Levu, to meet with visiting captains, crew and owners in a Marina Mingle, alongside Nawi Island Marina management and staff.

The visit provided an opportunity to better understand what the facility offers vessels travelling to Fiji and to see the new infrastructure available to visiting yachts, including 21 dedicated superyacht berths for vessels up to 85 metres and floating pontoon infrastructure built to Australian standards.

Members also shared their experiences and feedback with marina management, contributing to the ongoing development of Nawi Island Marina and its offering within the regional market. The visit provided the Australian superyacht supply chain with a greater understanding of the marina and the potential for Fiji to form part of their wider regional operations.

The 2026 Rendezvous runs from Wednesday 12 to Friday 14 August at Nawi Island and Port Denarau Marina, beginning with the Nawi Island Marina Mingle, followed by the Echo Yacht Captain’s Lunch on Thursday and concluding on Friday with the Crew Cocktail Competition and Australian-Themed Networking Party.
