π¬ 'We gather at a moment when the concept of health security is being tested like never before'... 'The solutions will not come from any single discipline, any single institution or any single country.'
Spoken by Dr. Revati Phalkey, Director of the United Nations University Institute for Global Health (UNU-IIGH), in our Welcome Plenary at GHS2026 in Kuala Lumpur.
Her words set the tone for four days of dialogue between government, international organisations, civil society, academia, defence and the private sector, a reminder that health security is, by nature, a shared endeavour.
As we look ahead to GHS2028, this message feels more relevant than ever.
