These were some of the things our friends from Wide Bay Mental Health, Jade and Katie, shared with us at the last of our Emergency and Disaster Preparedness workshops today.
Being ready to take care of your mental health and well-being is just as important as packing an emergency kit!
With the help of our friends from Council and the SES, Qld Police and Fire, the Connected in Crisis Team and Wide Bay Mental Health, over the past 5 weeks we’ve improved our skills and knowledge about the many different types of emergencies and disasters that are possible where we live, what some of the local response agencies do in the lead up to and in response and recovery, and most importantly, how WE can prepare OURSELVES – to increase our confidence and resilience in an emergency or disaster.
