The Allison Baden-Clay Foundation raises funds for the development of programs that educate bystanders on the signs of domestic and family violence, and the tactics they can use to intervene effectively and safely. The Allison Baden-Clay Foundation aims to build a Queensland community that acknowledges the prevalence of domestic and family violence and seeks to create a Queensland that is committed to eliminating and taking concrete action to stop domestic and family violence.

The Domestic Violence Action Centre (DVAC) is the largest provider of domestic, family and sexual violence support services across Ipswich and Toowoomba and this year they are celebrating 30 years of advocacy, community impact and support for communities across the region. DVAC are marking the milestone with a celebration event to reflect on their journey with all proceeds supporting DVAC’s ‘Homes for Hope - Ipswich and Toowoomba’ initiative. This is an exciting new program that directly addresses one of the greatest barriers for women escaping domestic violence by providing purpose-built housing in the local area, specifically for victim-survivors. Our Empowering Futures Education Hub recently held a graduation ceremony for those who had successfully completed the Community Foundation Skills course. It was a celebration of growth, perseverance and determination. The program has given them the opportunity to gain new skillsets and a step up as they begin a new chapter in their lives. This has been made possible with the support of the Queensland Government, and the Ipswich City Council and we thank them for their support. Thank you to all of the lecturers, presenters and trainers who contributed to making this term a successful one. Congratulations to the graduates and we look forward to seeing where your next chapter leads you.

Sharing kindness doesn't have to be loud and boastful. It can be shared quietly and genuinely in many and varied ways, just like at Terry White Chemmart Winston Glades where Mark and his team continue to support the Foundation, whether that is through selling sunflowers, donating raffle prizes or making personal donations. Our thanks for their continued support over many years of both Allison's family and the Foundation and we are grateful for the very generous donation made during our Strive To Be Kind campaign.

Our friends at the Kalbar Sunflowers believe in cultivating hope through sunflowers and are dedicated to creating a positive impact by using the beauty and resilience of sunflowers to bring joy. They believe in connecting with local community groups, building networks of support and creating collaborative partnerships. Each year, the Kalbar Sunflower Festival transforms a working farm into a vibrant celebration of sunshine, community and giving back.
