We were proud to be part of the Lifelong Respect Walk Against Elder Abuse today, walking alongside our community through Hobart to raise awareness of elder abuse and promote respect, dignity and inclusion for older Tasmanians.

Every older person deserves to feel safe, valued and connected. By walking together, we help shine a light on an issue that too often remains hidden and reinforce the importance of treating people with dignity and respect at every stage of life.

World Elder Abuse Awareness Day is on 15 June.

Thank you to COTA Tasmania for all the important work you do to support older Tasmanians 💜

Today’s Push-Up Challenge target is 160, representing the 1 in 6 Australians who report feeling lonely.

Loneliness can affect people of any age, background or life stage, even those who appear socially connected. It can quietly impact mental wellbeing and make life's challenges feel harder to navigate.

That's why spaces like Club 42 Pilates matter. Movement is a powerful tool for wellbeing and so is the sense of connection that comes from showing up, sharing experiences and being part of a community.

At Lifeline Tasmania, many of our programs and services are designed to help people stay connected. Whether it's through a conversation, a shared activity or ongoing support, meaningful connection can make a real difference to mental health.

Sometimes, a small moment of connection is exactly where things start to change.
