Access is entirely confidential, and our Fairys love what they do. We offer the free loan of gowns, suits and accessories for year 6, 10 and 12 school leavers who might otherwise miss out. Leaver's dinners are an important milestone in a young person's life, and we are committed to doing what we can to ensure every young person can celebrate, in style, with their peers. Established in 2018 by successful businesswoman, Brooke Emery, Fairy Godmother Formal Wear is an entirely cost free way for young people of all ages, genders, and sizes to access formal wear for their end of year celebrations. Referral to this service is via school Social Workers or Teachers - we are confidential, respectful, and anonymous. We accept donations of new, and near new, formal wear, suits, shoes and accessories - please contact us by PM to be advised of our drop off point. Before you donate, please note: We accept ALL donations, but sometimes the donations we receive are not a current style, age appropriate, or in new or near new condition. Donations that are not quite right for us are very gratefully received, but may be passed on to Hobart City Mission for sale, or the fabric is recycled. No donation is wasted.
