Last month were the Central Division Speech Contests. Here is a lovely snippet from our beautiful secretary

"I thought as club secretary I would write a summary of the conference last Sunday.

Firstly congratulations to Ian on a well run very successful
conference. As the Central Division Director this is a huge job to
organise all of the things that go to make it a great day.

Secondly congratulations to Jason and Becky, Jason came second in the Table Topics contest, he looked very smart too. Becky didn't place in the Humorous contest but did a great job with her speech about her cats.

Cynon was there to help out too as Assistant Chief Judge in the first
half and Division Secretary for the Council Meeting.

Lorraine and I were there too as Judges in the contests.

So congratulations to all on our contribution to making the conference an interesting day

Regards

Fran Kay"

Speeches prepared and impromptu are an important part of Toastmasters. Last weeks meeting didn’t disappoint. Some very entertaining fun presentations. A highlight of any meeting Can be a new members 1 st speech, their “ice breaker”. Georgia entertained us with three facts about her.

Guests are a special part of a toastmasters meeting. How fortunate were we to have these three beautiful people attend last weeks meeting. I think their faces tell all. Two little club mascots were handed out with absolute pleasure. We look forward to welcoming them back as new members on 26 th February
