Yesterday, we met with Sue, Janet & Deb, who all shared an interest in creating a fun, informal dance group. After some great conversation unpacking the why, how and what, 'Move N Groove' was born! 🎶😀

Every Tuesday morning starting from the 21st of April come along and join a fun, relaxed and social space to move your way.

No partner, no dance instructor, no pressure — just music, connection, a cuppa, and plenty of laughs.

Dance like nobody’s watching 💃

Did you know there is a Glasshouse Country Carers group that meets at the Glass House Mountains Neighbourhood Centre every fortnight?

The group are hosting an information session with Dementia Australia and anyone is welcome to attend.

🌟 Volunteer Spotlight - Anna 🌟

Anna is always ready to step in and help when needed, bringing warmth and a can-do attitude to our Centre. A member of both the Steering Group that worked to establish our Centre and is now part of the Management Group, her dedication has been invaluable.

With a love for the Beerwah community, Anna enjoys meeting new people, having a chat, and being part of the strong volunteer spirit that makes our Glasshouse Country Community so special.

This week the Centre was filled with fun, creativity, connection & laughter!

The Reposium Craft Group met here on Wednesday and enjoyed connecting over their individual projects. The group also kindly donated an awesome pot, which now looks fantastic on the desk in our reception space. 😀

If you’re keen to join, everyone is welcome! Come along next Wednesday 9:00am-12:00pm, bring along some craft material, and a gold coin donation.

Small community organisations have a vital role in contributing to strong, vibrant and inclusive communities.

Coalition of Community Boards (COCB)offer workshops and opportunities for boards to grow their skills and knowledge in governance and managing small organisations.

We are so excited about Neighbours Day next Saturday 28th. Thanks to the Glass House Mountains Community Collective for organising what will be another wonderful event.

The event is a great opportunity to learn about the many amazing community groups in our area & connect with new people!

Nicole volunteers with us every Tuesday as our Centre Host, helping create a welcoming environment for everyone who visits the centre. Her support each week helps things run smoothly and contributes to the positive atmosphere in our space.

Community Development Workers Jody & Lauren met with Hennie, Margaret, Wendy & Janet to discuss the beginning of a craft group here at the Centre.

Every Wednesday from 9:00am-12:00pm the "Reposium Craft Group" will be meeting at our Centre & everyone is welcome to join!

The group is all about sharing skills, learning from each other, fun & friendships.
Bring your own craft materials, a snack & gold coin donation.

Our Neighbourhood Centre is a place for people to grow friendships, build social support, and feel valued as an active citizen!

Did you know that we have a large room & two small offices that can be rented out?

We have tables, 40 chairs and a TV that can be moved around to fit the needs of your workshop, meeting, or activity.

Did you know that a Local Area Coordinator from NDIS will be here once per month?

The LAC's can work with you and your National Disability Insurance Journey.

- Funding Questions
- Getting the most out of your plan
- Finding and working with Service Providers
- Support with the myplace online portal.

Appointments are required! The NDIS Team will be here on Thursday 2nd of April.

Our Neighbourhood Centre is lucky to have a wonderful group of Centre Host volunteers who help create a safe, welcoming space for everyone who visits.

Over the coming weeks we’ll introduce some of these amazing community members. Stay tuned to get to know the people who make our Centre feel so welcoming.

You'll meet Di here on Wednesday's, Di is warm & welcoming and is always keen to connect over a cuppa in our reception space.
