VIC100 - MAKING A DECISION ABOUT THIS YEARS EVENT

For anyone who might not be aware, while Victoria Pass remains closed, the VIC100 course uses the only east west link across the Blue Mountains, making it in possible to conduct. Councils also need six months for our event applications, with councils unable to process while Victoria Pass remains closed. While this is disappointing for our riders, we are planning for it to run the 21st of November 2027.
But this year riders can register for our 11th Go4Broke event, on the 19th of September. We’ll also be telling everyone about exciting new plans for an event for early 2027.

So while we’re sure VIC100 won’t go ahead this year, be sure to follow our socials and look out for our emails.

WE'RE PLANNING OUR NEXT VIC100 - WE’D LIKE YOUR INPUT TONIGHT!

Tonight Ed Kirk, Founder and President of Go for Broke Initiative will be giving an update on latest plans and the impacts of Victoria Pass closure on event planning. After a meeting with Transport for NSW, Police and Councils this week we’ll be able to share the latest information we have, while hearing your feedback on last year’s event.

VIC100 2026 BILPIN COMMUNITY MEETING - WE’D LIKE YOUR INPUT! 🚴🏽🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️
With our first event under our belt, we’re looking forward to working more closely with local communities and businesses along the route.

After a successful first year, we’re inviting residents and business owners from Kurrajong, Kurrajong Heights, Bilpin, Mt Tomah, Mt Wilson and surrounds to a community meeting to share feedback and hear how we plan to better collaborate, support local businesses, and promote the region as part of this year’s event.

Go4 Training Ride #2 - 106km/1330m City/Beaches/Laperouse Loop 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️🚴🏽👍

We’re taking advantage of the ANZAC long weekend Monday public holiday with less traffic to take in a ride through the city and beaches. This will be the first time we’ve followed the coast from Watson’s Bay down to Laperouse. A route I (Ed) use to ride when we lived in Newtown. Coffee/Breakfast will be at Watsons Bay. Lots of other spots along this route. Options for people to join us on the way, or catch a train back from the city if the distance is a bit on the long side.

We’ll have two speed groups with the first and second groups leaving a few minutes apart.
Not So Social - 6.30am (27-30km/h)
Social - 6.35am (24-27km/h)
Anyone who falls off the back of faster group will be collected by the social group coming behind.

Go4 BALMORAL BEACH SOCIAL RIDE - EASTER FRIDAY

To help announce Go4Broke and Go4VIC Early Bird Regos officially opening, we’re kicking off our monthly rides with our classic social ride out to Balmoral Beach this Good Friday. We’ve checked with the Boat House Cafe, who open from 7am.
We'll depart Hornsby Pool in one of two bunches (depending on numbers) with 10 minute time splits. Traffic should be light Friday morning as we head down the Pac Hwy. After coffee/breakfast over looking middle harbour we'll head over to Bradley's Head for a photo op and then back to Hornsby via Wakehurst Parkway/Forest Way and Bobbin Head. While Easter long weekend is looking wet, Friday morning is looking great.

Big thanks to the team at Trek Clarence Street for getting my bike ready for Bicycle Network’s 235km Peaks Challenge this weekend 🚴‍♂️🔥

VIC100 2025 FULL LENGTH EVENT VIDEO - REGOS OPEN FOR 2026!

A big thanks to all our riders who filled in the survey with lots of good ideas for next year. We're glad to say we've been given the green light for next year's event by Transport for NSW and NSW Police Force.

This is how it feels to raise $100,000!!!! One of our riders David is mega excited that we have crossed the $100,000 mark for the Go For Broke & VIC100 events. What an absolutely fantastic effort from everyone involved this year. The efforts of every single rider have been astounding, and we want to thank everyone for having a crack this year. Extra special thank you to our yellow jersey holders, who have raised an incredible amount between them. Your extra special efforts and hard work have made such a valuable contribution to Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury Sydney, Lifeline Macarthur and Western Sydney and Lifeline Central West.
