At AGCF, we salute the researchers who have shaped the future of gynaecological cancer care through groundbreaking discoveries in diagnosis, treatment and research. We honour pioneers such as Dr Colin Laverty, Dr Jian Zhou and Professor Ian Frazer, and thank our AGCF Research Fellows – Dr Dane Cheasley, Dr Aime Powell, Dr Dongli Lui, & Dr Liz Caldon, for continuing to advance life-saving laboratory and collaborative gynae cancer research, sharing hope for women and their families.

Research Ambassador Dr Dane Cheasley shares a pioneering research initiative focused on low-grade serous ovarian cancer (LGSOC). Through the largest high-throughput drug discovery study of its kind, the team is searching for new treatment options for women diagnosed with this rare and challenging subtype of ovarian cancer. 🔬💜

At just 22 years old, Brenda “Farah” Coleman was told her advanced ovarian cancer couldn't be cured.

44 years later, she travelled from the USA to Australia to thank Pro Neville Hacker AM MD, founder of AGCF, for helping change the course of her life.

Farah recently shared her extraordinary journey in her autobiography, Twelve and Se7vn, a testament to resilience, hope and survival.

A huge congratulations to Professor Anna De Fazio on receiving a $654,000 grant from the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF) 💜

Professor De Fazio is a valued member of AGCF's Scientific Committee and a leading translational ovarian cancer researcher. We are proud to celebrate this well-deserved achievement and the impact it will have on future research.
