💥LOCKETT LOCKED IN! 🔒🔑
North Ballarat is proud to announce Jye Lockett has re-signed for the 2027 season!

Jye had a standout 2026 campaign, booting an impressive 48 goals across 21 senior games, claiming the Tony Lockett Leading Goal Kicker Award and finishing runner-up in the Seniors Best & Fairest, receiving the George Newland Medal. 🏆

A proven goalkicker and key part of our senior side, Jye has made his mark in the black and white, and we’re thrilled to have him back as we look ahead to 2027.

The Lockett name holds a special place in North Ballarat’s history. Jye’s uncle, AFL legend Tony Lockett, began his football journey at North before going on to become the VFL/AFL’s all-time leading goalkicker with 1,360 career goals. Tony’s father, Howard Lockett, was also a much-loved Club stalwart as both a player and coach.

With Jye’s brother Taj joining the Club for 2027, the Lockett legacy continues at North, and we’re proud to see another generation of this football family pulling on the black and white 💪

48 goals, a standout season and more Lockett history to be written.
Welcome back, Jye! 🖤🤍

🚨NEW JUNIOR COORDINATOR, CAMERON STEWART!
North Ballarat FNC is excited to welcome Cameron Stewart as our 2027 Junior Football Coordinator!

Cam brings a strong passion for our club, junior football and the people who make our North family so special. As we look ahead to the 2027 season, Cam is eager to build on the fantastic work of Selena in 2026 and work alongside our junior coaches, team managers, volunteers, parents and Pete Kane.

💬 A statement from Cam:
"North Ballarat is a special club with a steeped history and I’m proud to follow in the footsteps of Selena after her great work as Junior Football Coordinator in 2026.
I look forward to working with the junior team managers, coaches, helpers and Pete Kane, as we all strive towards a successful 2027 football season.
Not to forget the parents. Every parent is essential to getting their kids ready for training and game day. That’s something like 400 parents throughout the junior roster. North is a family club that runs on parental volunteering effort.
Volunteering as a team manager and getting to know as many parents as I have over the last two years has made mine and my family’s enjoyment of the game all the better. The adage, ‘the more you give, the more you get’, works for junior football. I encourage as many parents as possible to likewise get involved where they can in 2027.
New facilities, old values. Here’s to us all making 2027 a great junior football season at North Ballarat. Can’t wait. See you all soon."

We’re proud to have Cam on board and look forward to another fantastic season of junior football, built on community, teamwork and the incredible volunteers who make our club what it is.

Congrats & welcome, Cam! 🐓🖤🤍

💥 THE LOCKETT LEGACY CONTINUES AT NORTH! 💥
We’re thrilled to welcome young gun Taj Lockett to North Ballarat for the 2027 season!

At just 19, Taj arrives from the Broadbeach Cats in the QAFL, having also come through the Gold Coast Suns pathway program in the Talent League. A tall key-position player who can make an impact at either end of the ground, Taj brings strong skills, smart decision-making and versatility to our playing group.

And the Lockett name needs little introduction! Taj joins brother Jye Lockett, who claimed North’s 'Tony Lockett Leading Goal Kicker' honours this season, as the next generation of a proud football family continues its history in the black and white.
Their uncle, AFL legend and former Rooster Tony Lockett, remains one of the greatest goal kickers the game has ever seen, finishing his career with an incredible 1,360 VFL/AFL goals. His father, Howard Lockett, is also a much-loved part of North’s history, having served the Club with distinction as both a player and coach.

A proud football name, two brothers in black and white, and plenty to look forward to! Welcome to the North family, Taj! 🖤🤍
