Not only was Dolly Parton a legendary performer but she made an incredible contribution to childhood literacy through the creation and support of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library programs across the world, including here in Ballarat. Vale Dolly. 💔💔💔

National Youth Volunteer Week is the perfect time to celebrate the incredible young people who give their time to support others.

As proud sponsors of the Volunteer Youth Award at tomorrow night's Ballarat Youth Awards, we're celebrating all the nominees who volunteer across our community.

One nominee, Elijah, has dedicated around six hours each week to volunteering with the City of Ballarat's youth programs. From supporting the Take Back the Buses campaign to continuing to advocate for improved public transport, he's helping ensure young people's voices are heard.

We look forward to celebrating all of this year's nominees tomorrow night.

Today we had the pleasure of celebrating incredible organisations that are making a real difference across our community.

Through the Ballarat Foundation's 2026 Community Impact Grants and Peter Amor Sports Participation Grants, more than $114,000 has been awarded to projects supporting mental health, young people, food security and community connection.

A huge congratulations to this year's recipients, and thank you to the generous donors who make these grants possible year after year.
