🚵 Friday Social Ride – 19 December! 🌄

Join us this Friday, 19th December at 5:00pm (roll out 5:15pm sharp) for a relaxed social ride with the crew!

📍 Meet at: Hammond Park Trail Head, Creswick
🔥 Afterwards: The club will be putting on a BBQ — snags provided!
🥳 All levels welcome — it’s a great chance to meet fellow riders, spin the legs, and enjoy a feed together.

As some of you may be aware, our wonderful club leader Mark Van Halen is stepping down from his role at the club to work on other commitments. Mark has dedicated hundreds of hours of his time to the club and we will miss his passion and knowledge greatly. We thank Mark for all that he has given us as a club and hope to see him still racing when he gets a chance. In order to keep our club functioning in the long run we will need people to volunteer for our committee and help shape the direction of the club. Maybe you are a passionate racer? Maybe you are a parent of a child that would like more opportunties to race locally? Are you a wizz on social media? Maybe you are passionate about trail advocacy? We need you. Please drop a comment or send us a DM if you are interested or if you have any questions.

Also, in order to run our usual dirt crits over the summer period we will be asking for a small group of volunteers to help with the running of each race. We will need a few people to complete a free online course to be qualified as a regional MTB commissaire and a few people to set up and pack up the course each week. If we don't get people stepping up to help out we simply won't be able to put on any racing and the club will cease to function. If you think you can spare some time to help out please drop a comment or send us a DM. Once we have enough volunteers we can release a roster for each round.

Thank you to everyone who helped with our round of the Vic Schools MTB series on the weekend. It was a huge day! Thank you to Matt at Cyclescape for providing mechanical support, to Rohin at bighillevents for being our timing whiz and to the crew at bmxballarat for cooking up a storm on the BBQ. To our volunteers a huge thank you for donating countless hours to make this happen and lastly thank you to all the riders for coming. It was fantastic to see so many Ballarat kids out racing ❤️
