💙 National Carers Week 2026 | Care for a Carer 💙

This week, we're recognising the incredible carers in our community and encouraging everyone to Care for a Carer.

In palliative care, carers provide comfort, compassion and support through some of life's most challenging moments. While they care for others, it's important that we take time to care for them too.

Small acts of kindness can make such a meaningful difference:
💛 Check in and ask how they're going
💛 Offer a break or some practical support
💛 Acknowledge the care and dedication they provide
💛 Take the initiative and offer specific help

To every carer in our community: thank you. Your kindness, strength and dedication make an extraordinary difference every day 💫

✨ Thank You Katherine ✨

Recently, we farewelled our wonderful Operations Manager, Katherine.

Since joining Ballarat Hospice Care in 2020, Katherine has led with compassion, kindness and a genuine desire to make a difference. Her commitment to our values and belief in the power of making a positive difference together have left a lasting impact on our team.

As Katherine often reminded us, it’s the small things we do each day that make a big difference. 💙

Thank you, Katherine, for your leadership, friendship and dedication. We wish you every happiness and success in your next chapter. 💐
