"Tidepool of Enchanted Creatures Camp"

Bairnsdale Girl Guides and Orbost Girl Guides got together over the weekend and had a B L A S T!

We enjoyed going on hikes (one in the dark!), making magical potions, doing arts & crafts, solving riddles & codes, sitting around a camp fire and singing along.

The most important thing about camp is we got to make new friends, go on adventures and have fun!

Last week was a special meeting because our very own leaders got recognised for their achievements at Bairnsdale Girl Guides, four of our girls made their promise and we had a camp-fire sing-along.

Congratulations to Badger (Sarah) for officially becoming a Guide Leader and getting her qualifications.

Well done and thank you to the following for their services -

Burrunan (Janine) - 1, 3 & 5 Years
Linda - 40 Years

This week we got to visit East Gippsland Historical Society to learn all about the history of Bairnsdale and surrounds.

Over the weekend the State Commissioner for Girl Guides Victoria, Pam Woodhams, presented Janine Wallace with her 5 year Service Award and Linda Wilkinson with her 40 year Service Award at a regional leaders event.
What an outstanding achievement for these ladies and we couldn't be prouder for having them at Bairnsdale Girl Guides.
