A strong high pressure system over southern New South Wales is expected to meander, sustaining a firm southeast airflow along the Queensland coast.

For the next 5–7 days, expect a prolonged period of cloudy, windy, and damp weather along the Far North Queensland coast, with the wettest conditions focused on the Cassowary Coast and Daintree region. Cooler daytime but warmer overnight temperatures than average due to cloud and wind.

Areas immediately west of the coast, including parts of the Atherton Tablelands, will experience cloudy conditions with periods of drizzle & light showers.

How good is it to see and feel the 🌞 😁

The current weather synopsis has a weakening ridge extending over northeastern Queensland from a large high pressure system near New Zealand.

A significant trough and northwest cloud band lies from the northwest to the southeast of the state, moving slowly east, and will push offshore by Tuesday evening.

A new ridge will develop in the wake of the trough during Wednesday, leading to clearer, drier and cooler conditions across Northern Queensland, well into next week.

Hey folks 😊 Some interesting cloud formation over the Tablelands this morning, suggesting a change is on the way.

The current weather synopsis has a strong high over the Great Australian Bight maintaining southeasterly winds across Queensland over the coming week. This high coupled with a west moving trough near Willis Island will increase moisture & enhance showers about Far North Queensland this weekend before migrating to the northwest and far west of the state early next week.

Hey all, across the North weather wise it will be partly cloudy inland and some isolated light showers along the coast north of Cardwell.

These conditions will continue to about Friday, when we'll see that big high near southern WA push east and firm up the coastal ridge along the NTC. This will once again strengthen SE winds and increase showers Ingham north & adjacent inland.

Enjoy 😁

Windy, cool, cloudy and showery conditions particularly Ingham north and across the adjacent inland will persist for the rest of the week as a stubborn high pressure system stalls to the west of NZ.

Conditions should improve during Saturday and Sunday πŸ˜€

Nice to be out and about between the drizzle in our beautiful area. Mt Baldy and Yabi looking great for a hike later today while the cockies squabble over the best vantage point, to view who's coming and going πŸ˜‚

Weather wise continuation of showers along the coast with morning and afternoon light showers and drizzle patches further inland and across the Southern Tablelands, with cooler temperatures.

Tomorrow if you are heading to the dawn services 🏡️, make sure to rug up and take a brolly β˜”
