We had a donation of more homemade bags from ReCraft Collective They are sturdy and hold a solid amount of pantry staple items for our service users.

We loved being apart of the Community Bank Albany and Albany Community Foundation fundraiser for homelessness, a great event with music, stalls, delicious food and drinks, networking and of course the live conversations from the couch.

Our CEO Moira Watson joined Palmerston Association, Great Southern Legal Service, ACF and lived experience voice from John who once worked with Pivot! The questions from the audience were insightful.

Seeing the community come together was heart warming as we need a community approach to support all of our community members in addressing at risk of, and homelessness.

Over $60K was raised including being matched in donation by the Perron Foundation

Our Dynamo admin and program support team member Justine with her brilliant piece for Homelessness week. Justine also created an interactive game that demonstrates how the trajectory into homelessness does not discriminate and can happen after one or multiple life impacts.

Local Voices: it is wonderful to have our CEO Moira Watson speak to Merrifield's about the programs we offer, the people we support and the impact Pivot has for the community. This video is being released in the lead up to the Albany Community Foundation Shelter Together event tonight from 5 pm at the Albany PCYC raising awareness and funds for homelessness. We hope to see you there and if you are unable to make the sleep out event tonight, you can donate direct to our website or via Albany Community Foundation who we have a premium partnership with and distribute funds directly to clients in need to break the cycle of disadvantage and support vulnerable community members.

Together, we can build greater understanding, stronger connections, and a more compassionate community.

Last Friday we celebrated a special milestone at ReCraft Collective – making our very first donation to one of our valued community partners, Pivot Support Services.

This first donation included personal care bags sewn by volunteers at ReCraft Collective. These bags will help support people in our community while also showcasing the power of creativity, generosity, and working together.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has donated craft supplies, shopped with us, volunteered their time, or supported ReCraft Collective. Every contribution helps us turn reclaimed materials into projects that make a real difference in the lives of others.

Here's to many more opportunities to create, connect, and give back to our community.
