Over $900,000 recovered for members.

That is just one measure of your union in action so far this year.

We've also assisted members through almost 2,900 emails, more than 1,500 phone calls, hundreds of workplace queries, and 138 worksite visits.

Our membership has continued to grow, demonstrating the value of collective support and advice.

Members can read more in today's email, including our audited financial statements available through the member portal.

๐Ÿ“ง IEU(SA) members: check your email later this morning for our important information regarding NCCD obligations and potential workload impacts in schools.

The IEU has been engaging directly with the Australian Government Department of Education to clarify misinformation being circulated nationally, and we need your feedback if this affects you.

Our Branch Secretary, Tim Oosterbaan, welcomes the first group of IEU(SA) Sub-Branch Representatives (Reps) to our new 2-day Level 1 Reps Training.

Feedback from previous 1-day Level 1 Rep training sessions highlighted the importance of allowing more time for discussion and learning โ€” and we listened.

The training covers a range of skills and content, including:
โ–ถ๏ธ Information, tips and skill development to support you in your Rep role
โ–ถ๏ธ Sessions tailored to the experience mix of participants
โ–ถ๏ธ Networking with Reps from other independent schools

Day 2 of the training follows in Week 7 โ€” Friday 12 June.

All IEU(SA) Reps are encouraged to complete Level 1 Training and then progress to Level 2 Training sessions.

๐Ÿ“ข Catholic EB24 conciliation update: long session, still talking.

Your IEU bargaining team strongly presented membersโ€™ concerns to the Fair Work Commission, with salary and workload remaining the key focus of discussions.

A range of matters are still to be resolved, and we have updated all Catholic members via email today. Be sure to read the EDM and stay informed. Your worksite Reps will also attend a Zoom briefing soon.
