6 men's and 5 women's bags were were happily received at the Toward Home office by Rachel, who is today's next top model. In addition to the bags was a whopping 10 tents, 5 mattresses and 7 sleeping bags.

Whilst meeting with Rachel, who actually works at Pathways in Christies Beach, she mentioned there is still a shortage of tents and sleeping bags within our southern community.... will Pathhways be another recipient of our bags? Watch this space....

Sharing the love, Simone offered 3 tents and 3 sleeping bags to Rachel to take back to her office. A true demonstration of

It was such a pleasure to pose with today's Top Model, Sally, who is the manager at the Hackham Community Centre. A special thank you to Jodie for helping me carry the bags and taking the photo.

Today, we delivered 14 bags to the centre, comprising 7 children's bags ranging from infant to 8 years old and 7 women's bags. The additional women's bags today are personally curated for the extra service offered by the centre being hosted by

"The Zahra Foundation help women rebuild after domestic and financial abuse through financial counselling, education, and pathways to independence"

It is always a fulfilling feeling walking away knowing that our contributions are helping people.... one bag at a time 🫢🫢🫢

Look at the lovely Lisa displaying a cute Frozen themed bag filled with lots of Frozen items such as colouring pencils, lunch box, and small daycare sized backpack. Thank you for being our next top model, Lisa.

This bag, along with a Bluey themed bag, Avengers themed bag, and a few others making 8 in total, were delivered to the Hackham Community Centre this morning to help children and women experiencing rough times in our immediate community.

A male bag was also personally collected from home by a member of my local Buy Nothing community who works for UnitingSA to help out a participant going into transitional housing. He can comfortably set up with a few days' worth of food and a bag full of toiletries.

These 9 bags bring our winter delivery tally to 76 out of 200!

These are the moments that bring me joy. Simone's enthusiasm and the humbling gratitude that oozes out of Greg just fills my cup with so much love for the work that we do.

And today, there's a special guest appearance. Little piggy in the middle is me. The face behind the scenes, the silly sausage with wit, banter, and goofy smile was finally coerced to step into the forefront of today's delivery.

Delivered to our friends at Toward Home today was 6 men and 4 women's bags - all filled with winter warmers, food, reusable cups/insulated bottles or a good old thermos, and of course toiletry essentials - 10 sleeping bags, 2 inflatable mattresses and 7 tents!

Bringing our bag total to 67 out of 200, these bags will make their way to those who are vulnerable within our community.

Remember to like, follow, share, and reach out to find out how you can help us reach our goal, just one bag at a time

What a gorgeous collection of hand knitted items from the wonderful ladies at the Port Noarlunga Knitts and Natter group.

This awesome group of ladies meet at the Pt Noarlunga Hotel on the first Thursday of each month to make these items, not just for us but for quite a number of charities throughout our communities.

Looking forward to working with this group more in the future.

Introducing Jodie from the Hackham Community Centre. She's our next top model. Sporting a cute girls bag packed with toiletries, food and winter essentials to help ease those cold nights.

Jodie graciously accepted 3 women's, 4 children's and 2 infant bags for free distribution to visitors at the centre.

This brings our bags tally to 57 so far for the winter season!

Keep following, liking and sharing for more Life in a Bag updates, donations and distributions 🫢

This story touches my heart. Toward Home is the outreach program that receives my bags for those experiencing this kind of homelessness.

Right now I'm trying my best to get my winter essential bags to them. I have a fantastic amount of backpacks, sleeping bags, bag contents and food to potentially reach 30 bags, yes, 30!!!!

Unfortunately I only have one tent, three mattresses, five rain ponchos, two travel pillows and zero showers

I am considering setting up a little Go Fund Me to help me raise the funds to purchase some of these items. Would you help me by making a small donation?

Look at the "Dazzling Donna" from Coles in McLaren Vale!

And how can you not have a smile that big when 9 boxes and 1 large bag filled with goodies have been donated. These donations will go a long way towards achieving our goal of 200 bags for the winter season.

With the rebirth of , we're still in our infancy, and management changes at Coles, meant we wobbled through our first joint venture like a baby taking its first steps. And yet we made some magic happen!

❀️❀️❀️ Thank you to everyone who donated items to Coles in McLaren Vale and a special mention to Wendy Dziadek, Gemma and "Dazzling Donna" for making it possible.

Yesterday, I delivered the last of 39 bags - comprising of 20 womens bags and 19 childrens bags, aged from newborns to 8yrs old - to the lovely ladies at Coolock House.

Coolock House offer a Young Family Support Program that provides support and accommodation for young parents, up to the age of 25 years, and their children, who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Twice a year, Life in a Bag gets the exact number and age of the women and children in their program so that each and every individual will receive a personally packed bag, and no one misses out 🫢

A huge thank you to Gayle Tomkins and her community at the Brighton 7th Day Adventist Church as majority of these bags are from her congregation πŸ‘

2 weeks ago I had the joy of attending my 4th Bailey's Backpacks event in Whitmore Square.

Karen Berry and her loyal followers put their hearts into these events, this time even hosting a sausage sizzle and various meals supplied for those experiencing homelessness and tough times.

Through these events, we are making more connections with each other (hello Paula Wilson) and as a community we can stretch our resources to help more people in the city and southern area.
