The country show season is showing no signs of slowing down, and this weekend we're spreading the showground excitement right across South Australia!

From the vineyards of the South East to the Barossa, across the water to Kangaroo Island and up into the Adelaide Hills, there's plenty of country show magic to discover!

Now that we’ve all had a moment to catch our breath after the whirlwind that was the Royal Adelaide Show, it’s finally time to reflect on the incredible cohort of Rural Ambassador finalists we had the privilege of celebrating this year!

What an outstanding group of individuals, each bringing their own experiences, passions and dedication to their communities, agriculture and the future of our country shows.

Throughout the Royal Adelaide Show, I had the opportunity to get to know these remarkable young people, hear their stories, celebrate their achievements and witness the friendships formed along the way.

The Rural Ambassador Award is about so much more than the announcement of a winner. It’s about the people who give their time, share their knowledge, support their communities and help ensure our agricultural shows continue to thrive for generations to come.

To our 2026 Rural Ambassador finalists, thank you for sharing your journeys with me. You should all be incredibly proud of what you have achieved, and I cannot wait to see where your journeys take you next. Here's to the friendships, the memories and the wonderful people who make our country show community so special!
