Hey, UK person-centred supervisors!
James Durrant, a student at the University of Nottingham, is looking
for co-researchers (person-centred supervisors) to take part in a qualitative research study.
The study is to investigate the impact asking a client questions has in person-centred or person-centred experiential (PCE) counselling and psychotherapy, including therapist directivity, power and perceived expertness.
Some of the benefits of taking part include:
- The opportunity to contribute to research which may ultimately benefit clients
- You may find it rewarding to talk about your views and experiences
- There is a possibility that you could be recognised as a co-author of the research, if it is published
- You will have access to the findings which may inform your practice

If you’re interested in finding out more or taking part? Please email James at [email protected]

We would like to share that Elektra Diakolambrianou, one of the PCE Europe Board members, has stepped down from her position due to personal reasons.

She has made the decision to step down due to personal reasons, and we completely support her in this. Like all of our board members, she served entirely as a volunteer — giving her time freely out of passion and commitment to our mission.

We sincerely thank her for her contributions, her dedication, and the positive impact she made during her time on the board. We wish her all the very best in whatever comes next.

A historic milestone for psychotherapy in Slovenia! In April, Person-Centred Therapy was officially recognised as a psychotherapy approach at the legislative level. A big step forward for mental health care and for everyone who believes in the power of empathy, authenticity, and human connection.

A heartfelt thank you to Stanislava Grachova, who orchestrated all of this and made it happen — and to the support from PCE World. This achievement would not have been possible without your dedication and vision.

We’re finally making it official! 📢

We’ve had a long, hard look at ourselves. PCE Europe is a proud European organization where our members speak dozens of beautiful, complex languages—from Greek and German to Portuguese and Polish.

And let’s be honest: while "English" is our official language, that’s not exactly what we’ve been speaking at our meetings, is it?

So, in the spirit of true transparency and congruence, we are officially pivoting.

🚀 The new official language of PCE Europe is: BAD ENGLISH! 🚀

No more worrying about perfect grammar, elusive prepositions, or whether "actual" means what you think it means. If we can understand each other through a thick layer of metaphors, hand gestures, and creative sentence structures, it’s PCE enough for us!

🙌 A big thank you to Pavlos Zarogiannis, who first bravely promoted this revolutionary concept at the 5th PCE Europe Symposium in Athens.

Join us! We promise to misunderstood you perfectly.
