Another year, another valuable visit to Cape Brewing Company (CBC)!

Each year, CBC welcomes our W**e Practitioner students to its Paarl brewery for a guided tour and tasting led by brewmaster Wolfgang Koedel. The experience broadens their understanding of beverage production, strengthens their sensory evaluation skills and adds valuable practical exposure to their learning journey.

Thank you to Cape Brewing Co. for this valued partnership and continued investment in our students.

On 29 May 2026, PYDA alumni came together at Aslina W**es for the first Alumni Connected learning and networking event of the year.

The morning included a panel of w**e and tourism professionals who shared valuable insights and experiences with graduates. It was also a meaningful opportunity for alumni to reconnect, strengthen their own networks, and continue growing beyond their programme year.

Thank you to Aslina W**es and our panelists for helping make this such a valuable gathering.

A glimpse into the past weeks at PYDA.

The has been actively engaged in learning, personal development, practical activities and building strong connections as they continue their PYDA journey.

We’ve had a variety of enriching activities, from Rachel Kolisi Falling Forward book event, to Tourism students visiting WTM Africa (World Travel Market), W**e students gaining practical experience in w**emaking and a visit to Simonsig Family Vineyards, and our regular coaching and classroom sessions.

The recently completed our annual Wilderness Camp, a powerful start to the student journey each year.

The two-day camp offers valuable time away from everyday distractions where new students reflect, open up, and connect with themselves and with each other. It's a space where the group starts to build trust, cohesion, and a real sense of community.

Thank you to Usiko Stellenbosch for once again facilitating this meaningful experience for PYDA students.
