better the lives of those who can not speak for themselves. Dip days, spay, and neuters are arranged at a lesser cost for those in need, sometimes for free and only a donation required. We also do lots of charity drives such as the Nose To Tail, Animal Crackers and present at the Stanford Sunset Markets. Our shop is on the corner of Victoria and Bezuidenhout Street, Stanford which is open: Wednesdays & Thursdays: 12 pm till 2 pm, Fridays: 11 am till 3 pm, and Saturdays: 10 am till 12 pm. Together we can make a difference in the lives of those, which always make a positive impact on our lives.

⚠️ WEATHER WARNING – OVERBERG REGION ⚠️

The South African Weather Service has issued severe weather warnings for the Overberg and surrounding Western Cape regions from 10–12 May 2026, with heavy rainfall, strong winds, flooding, rough seas, and extremely cold conditions expected.

Residents are urged to take precautionary measures immediately.

⚠️ Risks include:
• Flooding of roads, low-lying areas, rivers, and bridges
• Mudslides and falling trees
• Dangerous driving conditions and possible road closures
• Gale-force winds and rough sea conditions
• Severe cold and exposure risks for vulnerable people and animals

🐴🐄🐑 ANIMAL SAFETY WARNING

Special care should be taken for animals living outdoors, including horses, livestock, pets, and wildlife.

Expected conditions may lead to:
• Hypothermia due to prolonged cold rain and wind
• Exposure and exhaustion in young, elderly, or injured animals
• Flooding of camps, paddocks, shelters, and low-lying grazing areas
• Flying debris and falling branches causing injury
• Disrupted access to food and clean water

Owners are strongly advised to:
• Move animals to sheltered or higher ground where possible
• Provide windbreaks, dry bedding, and extra feed
• Ensure access to clean drinking water
• Check fences, drainage, and shelters before the storm arrives
• Avoid leaving animals tied or confined in flood-prone areas
• Monitor vulnerable animals regularly throughout the storm period

Please avoid unnecessary travel and continue monitoring official updates from the South African Weather Service and local disaster management authorities.

Stay safe and look out for vulnerable members of the community — both human and animal.

Sylvester is a placid and gentle handsome boy approx 3 years old. He will make a wonderful companion with his quiet and peaceful nature.

Paula, part of his family, is content to just have the peace and quiet she has never experienced until now, and to bask in the sun. She is approx 8 years old. They will bring a peace and calm into your home 🏠🤍
