Wortelgat Outreach Trust We are a Christian Campsite situated next to the Kleinrivier Estuary in Stanford.

A camp site situated 10km outside Stanford on the banks of the Klein-Rivier Estuary. Wortelgat was foundered in 1967 by four families who felt the call to establish a Christian campsite. Wortelgat (meaning "root" hole) has it's name due to the fact of farmers on the land dug for fresh water exposing the roots of the ancient milkwood trees.

1.⁠ ⁠Pray that they know they are fearfully + wonderfully made according to Psalm 139:14
2.⁠ ⁠Pray for freedom from comparison on social media
3.⁠ ⁠Pray that they will have eyes to see themselves how God sees them - chosen, loved, valuable

Hello June! ✨

A brand new month is here, and at Wortelgat, June is incredibly close to our hearts. It’s a month dedicated to the youth, from the young people who visit our campsite to the students dedicating 10 months to our on-site Gap Year leadership program and everyone in between❤️‍🔥

To mark this special month, we are getting ready for our annual ✨16-Day Youth Month Prayer Initiative✨, officially kicking off on Monday, 8th June.

And yes, if you see us around, you’ll notice we are wearing some seriously funky socks!🥳🧦

Why funky socks? Because sometimes they don’t match the outfit, and they definitely stand out, just like the youth we serve through our gap year and development programs, they are different, complex, and often misunderstood. Still, they are also vibrant, unique, and full of divine potential.

The socks are our daily reminder to pray, and a perfect conversation starter for you to do the same!

HOW YOU CAN PARTNER WITH US:

🩵Pray: Join us daily in lifting up the youth, their leadership development, and their futures. We will share prayer points throughout the prayer initiative.
