The Sound of Zwelihle – Zwelihle Youth Choir Concert

The Zwelihle Youth Choir is proud to reflect on the resounding success of The Sound of Zwelihle concert. What unfolded was more than just a musical showcase—it was a powerful celebration of youth talent, community spirit, and the transformative power of the arts.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Build it Hermanus for their invaluable support in making this production possible.

We also sincerely thank Cllr Masibongwe Sihlahla for your continued encouragement and presence, which reinforces the importance of investing in youth development initiatives.

To our supporters, parents, and volunteers, your unwavering commitment, time, and belief in this vision have been the backbone of this success. This achievement belongs to you as much as it does to the choir.

A special appreciation goes to Warda for your contribution and support towards the event.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to our driver, Mr Moss, whose reliability and dedication ensured the safe and smooth transport of all equipment.

A big thank you to Creative Skills Factory for walking the journey with us since day one. We will forever be indebited to you.

Most importantly, we commend our choir members—your discipline, passion, and dedication brought The Sound of Zwelihle to life. You have made the community proud and set a remarkable standard for what is to come.

This is only the beginning. The sound of Zwelihle will continue to rise.

Creative Skills Factory, in collaboration with African Horse Company, take small groups of children on horse outings at Stanford Hills Estate.

The children connect with nature, learn how to connect with animals, build confidence and grow emotionally through meaningful interactions with the horses and time in nature.

From dark to light:

The Masakhane Art Group, under the mentorship of artist Antje Shone from Whalesong Lodge, explored colour shades through a simple yet powerful process, adding just a touch of white paint at a time creating new shades of colour.

Layer by layer, shade by shade, reminding the young artists that even the smallest changes can lead us into the light.
