This Mandela Day, you or your company have the power to make a lasting impact. 🤝✨

Join us in honouring the legacy of Nelson Mandela by donating items from our Mandela Day needs list and helping us uplift individuals and families in our community. Every contribution — big or small — becomes a symbol of hope, dignity, and compassion.

We invite individuals, corporate companies, businesses, and organisations to partner with us in creating meaningful change through giving. Together, we can turn 67 minutes into a lifetime of impact.

“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others.” – Nelson Mandela

❤️ 67 MINUTES = REAL IMPACT.

For Mandela Day, 18 July 2026, Simon’s Town Community Police Forum is sprucing up the trauma room at Simon’s Town SAPS Station into a calm and warm space for the children and adults who need it most.

Here’s what we need:
🛋️ For the room:
• Warm blankets or throws
• Cushions
• A floor rug
• A soft-light lamp
• An armchair
• A bookshelf
• Children’s books & toys

🎨 For the windows:
• Paint stripper
• Sandpaper
• Primer
• Paint

🌿 For the gardens:
• Willing hands and a w**d eater or two!

67 minutes of your time or a single donated item can change how someone experiences the care they need after maybe the worst moment of their life.

🏡 Drop off donations at The Farmhouse, 36 Glenoak Road, Welcome Glen, or WhatsApp Di directly, 0762882829, to arrange a drop-off closer to SAPS or find out more

Folks, Siya Sampula Mfanta did it, in 8:14:17 and by the finish line, we reached his fundraising target of R100 000 and those funds will go directly to the hard-working cart horses on the Cape Flats. Siya, you are a legend and finishing your first Up-Run ComradesMarathon Ultra Marathon 😃🫶👏👊

THANK YOU to everyone who donated and his sponsors, Nat and Victoria and Dawn and Kate and Margaret, without you, this would never have happened🙏

Sharing is caring!

Today, Nadima Smith from our thrift store safely delivered 7 bags of towels and linen to Wendy Loots at the Cape of Good Hope SPCA in Grassy Park.
Every single donation makes a massive difference. Thank you to our kind donors, which has helped us pay it forward and support such a fantastic cause! ❤️🐶🐱
