The Substance Abuse Support's October Bead Therapy Workshop was both challenging and a huge success!

The ladies took on their biggest order since the inception of our Bead Therapy initiative. It was no small task, but they rose to the challenge with determination, teamwork and enthusiasm, completing the order sooner than anticipated. 👏👏👏

While we celebrated this achievement, we also missed one of our regular ladies who is currently in hospital. She was in our thoughts and prayers, and we continue to pray for her recovery and strength. 🙏🏽❤️

For World Homeless Day today, we spend the morning feeding and ministering the homeless in Fish Hoek & Muizenberg. We were able to hand out 200 meals in total. In Muizenberg we handed out toothpaste and peanut butter sachets as well. Thank you to Student's Unite for volunteering this morning, we appreciate your continuous support.

Over 300 people fed in Lavender Hill.
We were able to assist Lavender Hands Development with food parcels which they distributed to 85 families. We could also provide meals that helped them to feed 75 kids, 116 females and 89 males.
We could also provide freshly cooked meals to the Khoisan Movement in Lavender Hill, feeding 75 people.
We feed thousands of people every week, and your continued partnership makes it possible.

The Substance Abuse Support’s September Bead Therapy Workshop was a blessed and fruitful session. The ladies were introduced to new items, including Bible/bookmarks, children’s jewellery and eyeglass chains, which will be added to the project’s stock and product range.

We are trusting that, within the next two months, we will be able to provide each lady with a starter pack of beads and materials, enabling them to continue working from home and begin taking the skills they have learned to the next level. The ladies are excited and eager to take this next step and put into practice what they have been taught over the past eight sessions.

The team will continue to support and guide the ladies, including assisting with quality control and due diligence of their work, as they grow in confidence and develop their skills towards greater self-sufficiency.
