From logging into GirlCoder Online Club classes to stepping into the AI App-Building Holiday Bootcamp.

Nkateko started her coding journey in our virtual GirlCoder Online Club classes, and now she is bringing those skills to life.

Seeing our GirlCoders step out from behind the screen to build real AI solutions is what it is all about.

This September, your child could be taking that next step too. Our AI Bootcamp gives young people the opportunity to explore AI, build their own solutions and turn their ideas into something real.

Our September AI Bootcamp is officially Open!

Botswana is stepping onto the Pan-African stage.

We’re proud to announce Carol Matsididi, Co-Founder and CEO of Elayna Zahra Research Lab, as our Pan-African Judge representing Botswana.

Carol is building at the intersection of AI, accessibility and inclusive innovation. Through ReVision Africa, she is helping transform everyday Android smartphones into seeing companions for blind and low vision users — technology designed specifically for African realities, where connectivity and affordability matter.

And that is exactly the kind of thinking we want to challenge our GirlCoders to embrace.

Not technology for technology’s sake.

Technology that understands its user. Technology that considers context. Technology that solves a real problem for people who have too often been excluded from the innovation conversation.

Welcome to the judging panel, Carol.

Botswana represented. Africa building.

Building the future, one robot at a time 🤖

We had the pleasure of attending the Gradesmatch Career Expo at Tembisa West Secondary School, where we showcased our Lego Mindstorms EV3 robotics.

We loved connecting with the learners to share exciting opportunities, mentorship, and career paths in STEM.

And the learning doesn’t have to stop there. This September, we’re giving young people the opportunity to explore the world of Artificial Intelligence through our GirlCode AI Bootcamp.

Parents, give your child the opportunity to build the skills that will shape their future. Sign them up for the September AI Bootcamp and let’s turn their curiosity into creation.

Southern Africa has built. Now we go Pan-African.

With the Southern African leg of officially complete, we’re excited to announce our first Pan-African Judge from South Africa: Lisle.

With more than 20 years of experience in technology and innovation, Lisle brings a deep understanding of how technology can be used as a force for good — particularly through AI that is sovereign, safe, ethical and designed to empower people.

As our winning teams from across the continent move closer to the Pan-African stage, our judges will be looking beyond great ideas. They’ll be looking for solutions that are thoughtful, scalable, responsible and capable of creating meaningful impact.

We’re excited to have Lisle bring that lens to the judging panel.

South Africa, represented. Africa, we’re just getting started.

This is what Lift As You Rise looks like.

The GirlCode Summit 2026 turned out exactly as envisioned, a space where women truly and authentically lifted each other. From the vision to the last hug goodbye, this summit came together through an incredible team who poured their hearts into every detail.

A room full of women at different stages of their journeys. Different careers. Different stories. Different ambitions. But one shared understanding: our success means more when we create space for someone else to succeed too.

A big thank you to our sponsors Riversands Innovation Hub, Mint Group, Boxfusion, Entelect.
The perfect way to close out our Women's Month.

This is what Lift As You Rise looks like.

A room full of women at different stages of their journeys. Different careers. Different stories. Different ambitions. But one shared understanding - our success means more when we create space for someone else to succeed too.

This years' Summit was not just about listening to powerful stories. It was about looking around the room and realising that the person you mentor, recommend, introduce, encourage or open a door for could be standing right beside you.

May this picture remind us that we are not meant to rise alone.

Take the opportunity. Then create one.
Find your seat. Then make room.
Use your voice. Then amplify another woman’s.

To every woman who joined us at the GirlCode Summit 2026 - keep lifting as you rise.

And may this community continue to grow because each of us decided to bring another woman with us.

A big thank you to our sponors Riversands Innovation Hub, Mint Group, Boxfusion, Entelect

"Your Story Is Yours To Write!"

-Lucinda Boshoff, Vice President of Technology & Product, Klipboard

Someone may open the door for you, but you still have to walk through it.

Hand in hand, we lift, we rise, and we bring each other along.

Taking a moment to connect, network and build meaningful relationships because when we join hands, we create opportunities, open doors and make space for more women to thrive in tech.
