At Girls Fly Africa , our volunteers are an invaluable resource, which is why we have implemented an incentive-based volunteer management system. This system is designed not only to simplify the volunteering experience but also to nurture a spirit of volunteerism—one of our core values at Girls Fly Africa.

Within our volunteer framework, we have established an ambassador programme that collaborates with individuals to lead outreach initiatives in their communities. We are currently refining both systems and welcome feedback from our volunteers regarding the forms and tier structures. You can share your thoughts with our general manager at [email protected] or contact us at [email protected].

To volunteer, please fill out the forms ➡️:https://wkf.ms/3P4yLHf

If you would like to partner with our volunteer programme by donating incentives for our volunteers, feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] or [email protected].

- Last week, we had the honour of providing two young girls from a township in George, Western Cape, with their first opportunity to fly. They travelled from George to Johannesburg to participate in our youth development programme at AeroSouth Africa. This incredible experience was made possible by Airlink and our other partners, who share our commitment to empowering youth.

At Girls Fly Africa (GFA), we are deeply passionate about offering young people unique experiences and opportunities that can significantly alter the trajectory of their futures.

As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Youth Day in South Africa—a momentous occasion that honours the legacy, courage, and significant contributions of young people throughout our nation’s history—we reflect on the critical importance of the opportunities we create for the youth. These initiatives not only foster their personal growth but also make meaningful contributions to the aviation and aerospace industry and to the broader context of our country. Let us raise our voices in celebration of the incredible youth of South Africa!

- Day 2 AERO South Africa
- Our youth team hosted an and workshop

Theme - “Youth in Motion: Shaping Tomorrow Through and .”

We challenged learners to think beyond traditional career paths and explore the power of innovation, teamwork, entrepreneurship, and problem-solving within the aviation industry.

One of the highlights of the day was our Build Your Own Aviation Company activity, where learners worked together to develop aviation business concepts and present their ideas. Watching young people collaborate, think creatively, and confidently share their visions for the future was truly inspiring.

Thank you to AERO South Africa, our partners, facilitators, teachers, and learners for making the day such a success. Experiences like these continue to remind us that young people are not just the future of our industries; they are active contributors to them today.

The youth development programme was proudly sponsored by AERO South Africa , Gauteng Growth and Development Agency (GGDA) and Air Traffic and Navigation Services (ATNS).We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our airline partner, Airlink
for providing flights for our facilitators, learners, and teachers travelling from George in the Western Cape. Additionally, we appreciate the generous contributions from the South African National Space Agency (SANSA) , South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA ) and Delta Air Lines, who provided goody bags, prizes for the winning team, and merchandise for our learners and volunteers.
