🚀 Celebrating World Space Week | 4–10 October 🌍✨

World Space Week celebrates the science and technology that continue to improve lives and expand what humanity believes is possible.

These dates honour two defining moments:

🛰️ 4 October 1957: Sputnik 1, the first human-made Earth satellite, was launched, opening a new era of space exploration.

🌕 10 October 1967: The Outer Space Treaty was signed, establishing principles for the peaceful exploration and use of outer space, including the Moon and other celestial bodies.

This year, for the 2026 cohort - we have redesigned the programme with a clear purpose: to connect emerging talent with industry and equip them with the communication and networking skills to shape their futures. It is about more than making connections. It is about opening doors to careers.

- As a volunteer-driven organisation, our volunteers are the heartbeat of everything we do. We are profoundly grateful to the more than 20 remarkable individuals who generously shared their time, skills, and passion in support of our programmes at the Africa Aerospace and Defence ( ) 2026 Expo.

This inspiring team brought together our alums with students and professionals from engineering, technology, tourism, aviation, and aerospace, including pilots and flight instructors. Their dedication is a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when passionate people come together with a shared purpose and vision.

We were especially proud that 80% of our volunteers were alums.

" Seeing you return to uplift and inspire the next generation was truly meaningful. Thank you for coming back, giving back, and helping us build a brighter future ".
