The weather is cold and wet, but together we can make sure that no one in our community goes hungry.

Today we will be serving Cabbage Stew (Koolbredie) with Rice to members of our community.

HELP US KEEP OUR COMMUNITY WARM

McGregor Soup Kitchen is appealing to the public for donations of unwanted clothing, blankets, duvets and bedding.

As the cold and wet weather continues, many families in our community are struggling to stay warm. A simple donation from your cupboard can make a meaningful difference in someone's life.

We gladly accept:
Clean clothing for adults and children
Blankets
Duvets
Bedding and linen

Please ensure all donated items are clean and in good condition.

The McGregor Soup Kitchen will once again be serving our community during this cold and wet weather.

From McGregor to the surrounding farms, we continue to stand with families in need because no community member should be left behind.

Yesterday, McGregor Soup Kitchen reached out to families living on surrounding farms by distributing generous Vienna donations received from My SPAR - Robertson. These farms face many daily challenges, especially due to the distance from nearby towns and access to resources, and it remains important for us to support every family we can.

We extend our sincere gratitude to My SPAR Robertson for their kindness, generosity, and commitment to helping communities in need. Your support allowed us to bring hope, care, and dignity to many households.

To every volunteer, supporter, and donor thank you for helping us continue our mission of compassion and service.

TODAY WE SERVED MORE THAN 300 PEOPLE IN McGREGOR

From 11h00 to 14h00, the McGregor Soup Kitchen opened its doors and hearts to our community serving warm viennas, hearty stew and fresh bread to more than 300 people, mostly children.

Every meal served today was a reminder that kindness still exists and that hope grows when communities stand together.

A very special THANK YOU to My SPAR - Robertson for making our โ€œVienna Saturdayโ€ possible. Your generosity helped us bring smiles, dignity and full stomachs to so many families today.

To every volunteer, donor and supporter โ€” thank you for helping us continue this mission of love and service. Together, we are feeding hope one meal at a time.

Yesterday, The McGregor Soup Kitchen proudly continued its mission of serving our community with dignity, compassion and love.

Through the generous donation from My SPAR - Robertson, we were able to hand out viennas to elderly members of the McGregor community, ensuring that some of our most vulnerable residents receive support, care and hope during difficult times.

This initiative is more than just food distribution it is about restoring dignity, spreading kindness and reminding our elders that they are valued, appreciated and never forgotten.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to My SPAR โ€“ Robertson for standing with us and helping us make a meaningful difference in the lives of many families. Your generosity continues to bring warmth and hope into our community.

The McGregor Soup Kitchen remains committed to serving the people of McGregor, and we will continue doing this important work today and beyond because no one should ever go to bed hungry.

FREE RAAF TICKETS UP FOR GRABS -
Good morning everyone. We, at the courtyard, wish to extend our sympathies to all who have suffered loss during this time of crisis. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time.
For those who are supporting and booking tables to dine with us, thank you so much. We appreciate the business very much and are ready to serve as normal with a full menu as usual. Some suppliers may not be able to deliver but we can still get most of what we require from Robertson and surrounds. Meg and I will also he doing a trip to Cape Town on Monday to restock.

With regard to the RAAF show tomorrow night, Raaf are still coming and heading our way. The music will go on ๐ŸŽ‰
We are experiencing ticket cancellations due to the road closure but folks are kindly donating their tickets to anyone who would like to come and enjoy. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ™
