✨ THE BREEDE AFTERSCHOOL ✨

Theme: Darkness to Light 🖤🤍

This month, we celebrate Lights On Afterschool, reminding us of the difference we can make in children's lives.

Our children were amazed by the beautiful artwork they created using only black and white. Through this activity, they learned that beauty can be found even in darkness, and that no matter what challenges life brings, there is always hope, kindness and light.

❤️ At The Breede Afterschool, we want every child to know that they matter, that they can grow through difficult times, and that even the smallest act of kindness can brighten someone's world.

Together, we can turn darkness into light, one child and one kind heart at a time.

💛 BREEDE CENTRE OPEN DAY – CELEBRATING COMMUNITY! 💛

On Saturday, 10 October, the Breede Centre celebrated the heart of our community! 🌻

Together with Hospice, Cathy’s Soup Kitchen, The Lighthouse, McGregor Primary School, The Fountain Waldorf School; First Step Ballet, Jobskills Training, the Ukenaries, Museng, the Community Art Project, Counselor Maria Kraukamp and our wonderful children, families, parents, friends and staff, we shared a special day filled with connection, participation and togetherness.

To everyone who joined us, contributed, shared their talents, or simply offered a kind word — THANK YOU! ❤️

Through your presence and your words, community was not just a concept, but a living reality. Together, we are stronger, and together, we make a difference!

Thank you for being part of our Breede Centre family. 🌿

FINAL DAY

A small celebration to show appreciation for our children’s wonderful work. ❤️ Although every contribution may seem small, we truly appreciate each and every one. 🌸

A heartfelt thank you to all the teachers, youth leaders and assistants who took part in this week’s activities. A special welcome and thank you to our volunteer, Albert, who spent time doing wordwork with some of the children. It was wonderful having him with us! 📚✨

And a very special thank you to our cook, Terlene Swanepoel, who makes sure our children have a warm meal before they begin their day and before they leave. Your care means so much to us.

Together, every helping hand makes a difference! 🌈

DAY 4

Our children worked so hard to make their activity colourful, creative, and full of love. 🎨❤️ Every little detail was made with excitement and proud little hands.
With a few more children joining us, we could create even more beautiful crafts to display and celebrate their creativity. 🌈✨ So proud of their wonderful efforts!

DAY 3

What a pleasant surprise! ❤️ We were blessed with a special visit from GIFT OF THE GIVERS, who brought along generous donations for our ECD. Their kindness and support truly touched our hearts. 🌸
Although we had fewer children, it certainly didn’t stop us from making the most of our day. We continued with our activities, learning, creating, and enjoying precious moments together. Every day brings its own little blessing. 💕✨
