Lizette, the lucky winner of the HAWS raffle that was held at the Food Festival last Saturday collected her prize at HAWS Book Nook this week. Lizette and her furkids were absolutely delighted with their prize!

A big thank you to everyone who took part in the raffle and supported HAWS. Every rand raised goes towards keeping our animals healthy, happy and ready to find their forever homes.

Thank you for helping us make a difference, one paw at a time! 🐾🙏❤️

🚨🐾 PLEASE, NEVER LEAVE YOUR PETS IN A HOT CAR! 🐾🚨

It takes less than 10 minutes for the temperature inside a car to become dangerously hot, putting your beloved pet’s life at risk. Even with the windows slightly open, a parked car can quickly become a death trap.

⚠️ Two incidents have occurred at Harties shopping centres in the past week! This is unacceptable and needs to stop.

The public is watching, and people are understandably angry when they see animals left suffering in hot vehicles. Be warned: if people see an animal in distress, they may take matters into their own hands and break a window to save its life.

❤️ Please don’t put your pet at risk. If you cannot take your pet with you, leave them safely at home. A quick shopping trip is never worth risking a life.

BE RESPONSIBLE. BE KIND. DON’T LEAVE PETS IN HOT CARS!

❤️🐾 A birthday celebration that touched so many hearts! 🎂

What a beautiful and thoughtful gesture from Teacher Colla of Xanadu School! Instead of receiving birthday presents, she asked her pupils to bring food donations for our HAWS animals. What a wonderful way to celebrate her special day by giving back to the community and helping those who cannot speak for themselves. 🐶🐱❤️

To Teacher Colla, the wonderful pupils of Xanadu School, and their families — thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Your kindness reminds us of the incredible things that can happen when a community comes together with love and compassion.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps us care for the animals who depend on us. And when our children learn the joy of giving from such a young age, we know we are building a kinder, more caring future for everyone.

Thank you for thinking of our HAWS animals on such a special occasion and for showing us that the most meaningful gifts are often those we give to others. 🐾❤️

Together, as a community, we can make a difference — one kind heart, one helping hand, and one full food bowl at a time. 🐕🐈

With heartfelt gratitude and love from all of us at HAWS. ❤️
