Proudly Harties Organisation To improve the quality of life for Hartbeespoort residents and tourists, one clean-up & repair at a time. One clean-up and repair at a time.

We are a Non-Profit Organisation established to create a safer, cleaner, functional and tourism-driven town. We have partnered with local businesses and members of the community that contribute financially or with services offered. Inspired by the Proudly Madibeng initiative in Brits, we envision likewise an increase in community and business support to restore and better Hartbeespoort’s former gl

ory as the number one weekend tourist destination in the North West Province. We support the work of the local municipality and government and are not politically or church affiliated. Our current initiatives include liaising with SANRAL and Madibeng Municipality for the maintenance of the main road running through town. It includes the installation of reflectors on the road surface, repainting of road markings and curbsides to ensure greater safety for the community and it's visitors. Proudly Harties is also directly involved in the planned upkeep of the local community clinic in Marais Street, Schoemansville. The scope of work there includes the upgrading of safe parking on the outside, clean-up of grounds and gardens around the buildings, repainting and repair of the fence around the clinic and sourcing of a new and safe structure for the security staff by the front gate. We know what OUR standards are.

What YOU can do:
* Don't litter and tell those that do to pick up what they 'lost'.
* Only put your household refuse out on the day the collection is.
* Phone the business or resident not correctly disposing their trash and kindly ask them to clean it up, it creates a negative impression. Sometimes you'll need to phone the building owner as he is ultimately responsible and might be ignoring the pleas of his tenants or not inspecting his property enough. And phone again, ...and again.
* Report repeat offenders to your ward counsillor or police.
* Support Proudly Harties for as little as R100 per month.

CLEANING!

Freddie is hands-down the best TLB driver in the Province! Navigating his way around pipes and structures for over 40minutes to remove old and new rubble, tar, wire and hot coals from informal fires during the night. Thank you Freddie from Harties Rubble and Sand for assisting in the cleanup the informal taxi rank on Beethoven street. Another thank you to local taxi drivers that assisted in the removal of smaller rocks and wire bundles.
