Our trails are for everyone: riders, runners, walkers, dog owners, families, and anyone who enjoys spending time outdoors in Greyton.

That’s why this year’s Greyton MTB & Gravel Club AGM is a community meeting for everyone who loves our trails.

Most people see the finished trails, but not always the work happening behind the scenes to keep them open, maintained, accessible, and growing. From trail maintenance and signage to events and planning for the future, it all happens because of a small group of volunteers and supporters.

The AGM is a chance to:
• Hear what the club has been working on
• Share ideas and feedback
• Meet the people involved behind the scenes
• Find ways to contribute or get involved
• Help shape the future of the trails we all enjoy

You don’t need to be a member, and you definitely don’t need to ride a bike to attend.

If the trails matter to you, this meeting is for you.

FOREST TRAIL REOPENED!

We are happy to let everyone know that the Forest Trail has officially reopened following the storm damage last week.

A massive thank you to the Greyton MTB trail team for the many hours spent clearing, repairing, and restoring the trail after the storm. The work involved was extensive, and the total cost to the club came to close to R10,000, which is a significant expense for us.

We are once again reaching out to everyone who uses the trail, including riders, runners, and walkers. If you are willing and able to contribute towards the repair and cleanup costs, we would greatly appreciate the support. Any amount helps.

Please use the reference "Storm Damage" so we can ensure the funds are allocated appropriately.

⚠️ Please use the trail with caution. There is currently a lot of informal woodcutting activity in the forest, so keep an eye out for fallen branches and debris on the trail.

🌲 Forest Trail – Storm Damage Update and Appeal for Support

As you know, our Forest Trail was severely damaged during the storm earlier this week and has been closed since then.

Our team is currently working hard on cleanup and restoration, but the scale of the damage has made this a large and costly task.

We are reaching out to everyone who uses the trail, including runners, dog walkers, and riders. If you use the trail, please consider donating to help with the repair efforts. Any amount is welcome and will make a real difference in reopening the trail as soon as possible!

If you are able to contribute, please use the reference "Storm Damage" so we can ensure we allocate the funds appropriately.

TEMPORARY TRAIL CLOSURE

Please note that the Forest Loop and 1st Bench Lite trails are currently closed due to storm damage. Please stay clear of the area as it's not safe! The Bakenskop and Wreck Route trails can be accessed via the Krige Road in the meantime.

Our team is already working on repairs, and we'll let you know as soon as the trails reopen.

Please also exercise caution on the rest of our trail network while our team assesses the storm damage across all routes.
