Africa’s future depends on strengthening domestic capital—mobilizing African savings, investments, and resources to fund African priorities. How can the continent reduce dependence on external financing and unlock sustainable, homegrown development?

Join Dr. Paul Kariuki on Newsbeat African Mirror as he explores why African capital is key to accelerating growth, creating jobs, and building resilient economies.

Tune in on Thursday, 4 June 2026 at 12:30 PM on 91.3 FM for practical insights, fresh perspectives, and an engaging conversation on financing Africa’s development from within.

Calling all youth in Dambuza: YOUTH INDABA 2026

As we commemorate the legacy of the 1976 Youth Uprising, we invite young people to come together for a meaningful dialogue on shaping the future through active citizenship and electoral participation.

This year's Youth Indaba will reflect on the sacrifices of the past while exploring how today's generation can drive change, strengthen democracy, and make their voices count.

We hope to see you there!

We’ve been busy... and it’s only the end of the first quarter of the year.

From civic education workshops and youth dialogues to social cohesion engagements and democracy conversations, the DDP has been hard at work strengthening active citizenship and public participation across communities.

And we’re only getting started.

Thank you to all our partners and associate facilitators for making all of this possible.
