Redfern Residents and Ratepayers Association

Redfern Residents and Ratepayers Association RRRA seeks to restore the pride and dignity of communities that pay their rates and taxes yet receive very poor or little service delivery.

Based on the Constitution, we demand that service delivery must be provided on a fair/equitable manner.

A vote for the DA in Phoenix is a vote for SUFFERING

The DA is deliberately with-holding service delivery in Phoenix.

If you think the price of winning, standing up and making your voice heard, or speaking out against the corrupt is too high, wait till you get the bill for regret!
That s**t is generational!!!

Unfortunately, the apathy of the community is it's biggest self made monster.

It is not the opportunistic criminals or paras that are a problem.

The problem is our very own community that give them the opportunity to commit crime.

We too quick to cry foul and blame the CPF, Security Companies and SAPS when crime affects us personally and directly, however when it affects someone else then we don't care and quite willing to sit in the comfort of our home.

Just a word of caution to all Residents, this is South Africa Baba!

It is not a matter of "if" you will be affected by crime, but a matter of "when"!

If you have not already been affected by crime, it is coming your way soon!

It is just a matter of time!

Stand up and unite against crime! Remove the opportunity for criminals by being vigilant and proactive. Don't wait for crime to affect you and then react!

Start with your street!

What was once a peaceful township to reside in has now become an area riddled with criminals and criminal activity, forcing residents to sell their homes next to nothing in order to relocate in a bid to protect their families and possessions from being stolen.

The criminals commonly referred to as "pharas" by the local residents of Phoenix can be found loitering the streets not only during the day, but also long after midnight in search of whatever they can get their hands onto in order to sell those items for drugs and alcohol. The situation has become so dire indeed that roads are now forming street committees and joining the C.P.F. in their fight against crime. Members patrol the streets around the clock. However, with work and daily life routines, it does prove to be difficult to keep the phara problem under control. Therefore, we urge Phoenix residents to be as vigilant as possible and report any suspicious activity/loitering to S.A.P.S. on 031 508 2300 or post the relevant information onto our C.P.F. group chats immediately, and you will be assisted. The fight against crime can only be won if we all work together, stand up as one, and speak with the same voice.
