Four patrollers, operating in two vehicles, were deployed across the *Malvern Policing Precinct* during the early hours of Friday morning.

It was an *exceptionally quiet patrol, one of the quietest mornings we have experienced to date*. Our teams maintained a visible presence throughout the precinct, ensuring continued community safety and vigilance.

*01:40 – Northdene*
*Main Road* near BP – A truck driver who was unfamiliar with the area stopped to ask for directions. Our patrollers assisted him and ensured he was safely on his way.

*01:47 – Escombe*
*Chamroo Road* – SAPS requested assistance with a mental health patient. Our patrollers assisted SAPS and escorted the individual, together with his mother, to the hospital.

*00:40 – China Hyper*
Duncan Tactical stood off with the CPF patrol team at China Hyper, providing additional visibility and support in the area.

*00:55 – Dipdale Road*
CPF members responded to *Dipdale Road* together with Duncan Tactical, with Blue Armed Response also present.

*01:22 / 01:41 – Moseley, Kemp Place*
While patrolling Kemp Place near the driveway of *No. 48*, a patroller observed two male suspects running across the road and into the bushes towards the M7 after noticing the patrol vehicle's lights.

The suspects were dressed entirely in black and appeared to be carrying bagged items. Blue Armed Response and Duncan Tactical joined the CPF team in attempting to locate the suspects; however, they had already disappeared into the surrounding area and could not be located.

*01:47 – Mountbatten Road*
A dog causing a disturbance was reported in the area and attended to.

*2:21 – Moseley*

A damaged/leaking water pipe was reported at *32 Scott Place, Moseley*.

*02:50 – Moseley*
*Reference: WL-364359*
A damaged/leaking water pipe was reported at *906 Main Road, Moseley*.

*04:42 – Escombe*
*Reference: WL-991863*
A water-related issue was reported at *39 St Augustine's Road, Escombe*.

*Additional Response*

SAPS, security partners and CPF members attended to an incident *Dipdale* on *three occasions* following fireworks being discharged by a resident. The matter was reported to *Malvern SAPS* for further investigation.

We thank our security partners for their continued cooperation and support during our nightly operations.

The strong partnership between the *CPF, SAPS and private security providers* remains essential in keeping our communities safe.

Three patrollers, operating in two vehicles, were deployed across the *Malvern Policing Precinct* during the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Despite the cold conditions, our patrollers maintained a visible presence throughout the precinct and continued to monitor key areas, hotspots and establishments.

*Incident Report*

*01:39* – Members observed three dogs barking at Cisella Twelve, *191 Main Road*. Area checked and found to be clear.

*01:53* – At *Escombe Football Club*, members observed five vehicles parked in the parking area. No suspicious activity was noted.

*02:14* – On *Ridley Park Road*, members observed a grey and white dog running on the roadway.

*02:18* – *Joe's Pool Bar* and other surrounding liquor establishments were observed to be closed.

*02:24* – At *11 Conabor Road*, members discovered an open gate and observed a white Toyota Corolla parked inside the property. The situation was monitored.

*02:29* – A *water meter opposite KFC* was found to be missing. The matter was reported to eThekwini authorities.

*02:41* – Members identified a *burst water pipe on 22 Beldon Drive*. The matter was reported to the relevant authorities.

Further water related issues were identified at *11 Beldon Drive*.

*03:26* – SAPS and our Members found an open gate at a complex at *90 Ethelbert Road*. Blue Security was contacted and attended to the matter. The gate was found to be on manual operation and was subsequently closed.

*03:44* – While patrolling *Roosfontein*, members observed a *Blue Security* vehicle actively patrolling the area.

*04:25* – A *Metro Police vehicle and two SAPS vehicles* were observed actively patrolling in the *Malvern CBD*.

*No Serious Incidents Reported*

There were *no serious criminal incidents reported to our patrollers during the patrol*.

*Summary*

Our dedicated patrollers once again maintained a strong and visible presence across the *Malvern Policing Precinct* during the early hours of the morning.

The patrol identified several matters requiring attention, including open gates, a missing water meter and burst water pipes, all of which were reported or escalated to the appropriate authorities.

We thank our dedicated Malvern CPF patrollers, SAPS, Metro Police, Blue & Duncan Security, and the relevant eThekwini authorities for their continued efforts in keeping our community safe and responding to issues identified during patrols.

It was a very quiet and cold patrol, with our teams maintaining a visible presence throughout the precinct.

*Incident Report*

*02:10* – A black VW Polo, registration *BN95FHZN*, was observed travelling at high speed along the main road towards the Pick n Pay Ridley entrance.

*02:44* – *Joe’s Pool Bar* was observed to be closed.

*04:25* – Two white males and one Indian male were observed walking from the Bellair area and searching through bins. They stated that they were heading towards the *M7 camp*. The individuals were stopped and directed back towards the camp.

The three individuals did not enter the M7 camp. They proceeded along *Bellville Road*, down the M7 off-ramp in the Pinetown direction, before entering the same camp/area that our patrol team had attended a few weeks ago.

*Serious Incident Report*

A case has been opened following an alleged pointing of a firearm incident at *171 Main Road, near Engen Garage by Pick n Pay*.

It is alleged that two males assaulted another male after an altercation relating to the victim speaking to their sister. The matter has been reported to SAPS for investigation.

Our patrollers continued to maintain a visible presence throughout the Malvern Policing Precinct during the early hours, despite the extremely cold conditions.

*Ridley – 00:31*
eThekwini Water Services was observed on Jo Naude Road. It was reported that the reservoir had reached a high level and personnel were attending to the valve to reduce the water level.

*Ridley – 02:29*
A white Volkswagen Polo was parked at the corner of Khorshed and Stella Roads. One intoxicated male was found sleeping in the rear of the vehicle. Duncan Security stood off and monitored the situation.

*Northdene*
Patrol conducted. Area found to be in order.

*Parkershill*
Patrol conducted. Area found to be in order.

*Flamboyant Park – 01:13*
A white BMW, registration *CW71YZ ZN*, was observed exiting Pinedale Road.

*Flamboyant Park – 01:15*
A grey Renault, registration *CT21VJ ZN*, was parked at the bottom of Pinedale Road. The driver identified himself as an Uber driver and was requested to move out of the area.

*Flamboyant Park – 02:07*
A white Hyundai H1 minibus, registration *BT71VP ZN*, was parked on Heaven Lane. One intoxicated female was inside the vehicle and was refusing to leave.

*Nirvana Hills – 02:29*
A white Polo was parked on Ritz Road. The vehicle started leaving the area once CPF members approached. The registration plate was not clearly visible.

Multiple dogs were also observed roaming along Ritz Road.

One Blue Security vehicle and one Duncan Security vehicle stood off with CPF members.

*Nirvana Hills – 02:35*
One male was observed walking along Ritz Road towards a friend's residence. CPF members engaged with him and established that he was making his way to his friend's house.

*Malvern CBD – 01:22*
One male was observed walking along Main Road towards the M7 camp.

*Malvern CBD – 01:33*
Two vehicles were observed in the Gold Rush parking area, causing a disturbance and playing loud music.

*Malvern CBD – 01:34*
Jo's Pool Park was observed to be open.

*North Park*
Patrol conducted. Area found to be in order.

*Moseley*
Patrol conducted. Area found to be in order.

*Saints*
Patrol conducted. Area found to be in order.

*Roosfontein – 01:06*
One Blue Security vehicle was observed patrolling Middletown Road.

*Parkside*
Patrol conducted. Area found to be in order.

*Poets Corner – 01:55*
Patrol conducted by CPF members. Area found to be in order.

*Malvern South – 02:45*
At the corner of Vera and Simpson Roads, one grey and black dog was observed.

*Ridley – 03:04*
One security guard was observed walking along Ridley and Main Road on his way to work in Sarnia.

*Summary*

The *Operation Night Watch* team maintained a strong and visible presence throughout the *Malvern Policing Precinct* during the early morning hours.

Patrollers monitored key hotspots, engaged with individuals and vehicles of concern, identified suspicious activity and worked alongside private security partners to enhance community safety.

The continued cooperation between Malvern CPF, SAPS and private security companies remains vital in maintaining a visible deterrent and keeping our communities safe.
