Nurses and Clinicians at Dora Nginza Hospital recently participated in training on cervical cancer management, led by Prof. Mabenge.

The training forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare professionals’ capacity to deliver quality, timely and effective cervical cancer care.

Supported by the Project, this initiative contributes to our broader strategy to expand access to quality cancer care and promote consistent standards of care for patients across both the public and private healthcare sectors.

Together, we are building capacity, empowering healthcare professionals and advancing better outcomes for people affected by cervical cancer.

As part of the Eastern Cape Department of Health's Lenacapavir Cervical Cancer Elimination Strategy build-up activities, a community awareness activity will take place at Gelvandale Clinic on 15 October 2026.

Cervical cancer is preventable, and raising awareness about HPV, vaccination and regular screening is an important step towards protecting women’s health.

By sharing information and encouraging conversations about prevention, we can help more women make informed decisions about their health.
