Firstly, thank you so, so much to everyone who has donated towards our elderly project. ❤️ Your kindness and generosity are truly appreciated.

We have already done our first delivery, and we will be doing another one tomorrow.

As many of you know, we recently started a project supporting a home where elderly members, many of whom rely on SASSA grants, are provided with affordable accommodation.

This home has really touched my heart, and it is a project that I personally would love to become more regularly involved with.

We asked each of the residents to give us a little wish list of things they would like or need. What touched me most was how simple their requests were — things like underwear, toiletries, and perhaps a small treat. Nothing big or luxurious, just basic everyday items that many of us often take for granted.

I would really love for us to find a way to support them on a monthly basis, even if it is just with some of these basic necessities.

There are also a few bigger projects that I would love to get our community involved in over time. One idea is to create a beautiful, peaceful little area in the garden where the residents can sit outside, enjoy some fresh air, read a book, or simply have a quiet moment.

I would also love to arrange a special Christmas party for them — perhaps a braai where we can spend the day together, enjoy some good food and company, and spoil each resident with a Christmas gift. 🎄❤️

There are honestly so many ideas going through my mind and so many things I would love to do for them. I know we cannot do everything at once, and it will take some time, but every little bit we do can make a difference.

If anyone feels that they would like to get involved in any of these projects — whether by donating, helping with the garden, contributing towards the Christmas celebration, or simply giving some of their time — please let me know.

Good day all

Just like the 13-year-old girl, her mother and brother have now also been given an opportunity for a new beginning.

This family has been living in extremely difficult circumstances and reached a point where they simply could not continue living this way. The mother faithfully attended church every week, and after a long and difficult struggle, she made the brave decision to seek help for herself and her children. (The father was physically abusive)

Mom and her teenage son have now received emergency accommodation in a safe place. Although they are not staying at the same place as the daughter/sister, they are safe, and the mother will also have an opportunity to work there.

They have gone from sleeping in tents in the bush to having a proper, safe room to sleep in. ❤️

As this was an emergency placement, they have very little and urgently need assistance with:

Toiletries – for Mom and teenage boy
Bedding – single-bed size
Boy’s clothing – size Small / 30
Boy’s shoes – size 6
Mom’s clothing – size Small / 30
Mom’s shoes – size 6

Any donations or assistance, big or small, would be greatly appreciated and will help them settle into their new, safe environment.

After many struggles and with the involvement and support of the relevant legal authorities, a beautiful 13-year-old girl has been given the opportunity for a fresh start with a family and a safe place to call home.

She has gone from sleeping in a cold tent to finally having a real room of her own. ❤️

Everything happened very quickly, and we would therefore like to reach out to our wonderful community for a little assistance in helping her settle into her new home.

At the moment, she needs:

Good morning, everyone.

As you can see from the messages, we have quite a few families who are in need of our assistance. There are many more requests, but we try our best to assist 3–5 families each week.

At the moment, we have requests for the following:

- Cat and dog food
- Food parcels for families
- Fuel to help people continue searching for work
- Assistance with rent (even if it's only a partial contribution)
- Employment opportunities for both men and women – any work available
- Assistance with electricity
- Diapers size 3 & size 1

We know we won't be able to meet every need, but if we can help with even some of these requests, it will make a significant difference in the lives of these families.

Good day, everyone.

We have been in contact with a local home that cares for 9 residents who rely solely on their SASSA grants. Sadly, some of them have no family who visit them—they only have each other.

We have asked each resident to put together a small wish list because we would love to spoil them a little. In addition, we would like to bless each person with a warm blanket and provide the home with some groceries.

Any grocery donations would be greatly appreciated, whether it's non-perishable items, fresh fruit and vegetables, or meat.

If you would like to sponsor a resident by purchasing the items on their wish list, or if you would like to contribute in any way towards this initiative, please let me know.

Our goal is to bless them by the middle of August, and we would be so grateful for your support in helping us make this possible.

We are reaching out to ask for support for a mother and her 5-year-old daughter (turning 6 in October) who have recently left an abusive home to start a new chapter.

They currently have only the bare essentials. They have a bed, a lounge suite, and some basic kitchen items, but they still need assistance with a number of everyday necessities.

The mom has recently started working and would greatly appreciate help with clothing:

- Mom: Size 36 (Medium), shoe size 5
- Daughter: Clothing size 6–7 years, shoe size 10 (kids)

They would also be grateful for any donations of:

- Groceries
- Toiletries
- Household cleaning products
- Any other household essentials

Good day, everyone,

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who assisted us. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to provide 29 families with food hampers.

We still have 22 families who are in need of food hampers, and any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

A special thank you to Cor's Diner for donating their Bags of Love in honour of Mandela Day, and to MegChem for their generous contribution of food items.

We truly appreciate the support of our community. No matter how big or small the contribution, every donation makes a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.

As many of you know, schools have reopened, and we have several families who need assistance with food for their children's breakfasts and school snacks.

We also have a few individuals who have attended job interviews but, unfortunately, have not yet secured employment. If you know of any job opportunities in Centurion or the surrounding areas, please let us know.

This is one of the reasons why I will always continue doing charity work.

Yes, the hateful comments and messages can break a person. But messages like these are worth so much more than any hate.

The last few weeks have been difficult—not only health-wise, but emotionally as well. I honestly reached a point where I wanted to give up.

I'm grateful that I decided not to. Instead, my focus has shifted slightly. Going forward, I will be placing more focus on supporting victims of GBV, child abuse, and bullying.

There are still many families who need food assistance, and we will continue to help wherever we can. Unfortunately, we simply don't have enough resources to assist everyone at the moment.

We currently have some Food Socks and a few Bags of Love available, but it won't be enough for all 39 families currently in need.

To everyone who has donated Food Socks, Bags of Love, or Jars of Love—thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We truly appreciate your kindness and generosity.

If anyone is able to donate food items or contribute towards food hampers, your support would be deeply appreciated. Every donation, no matter how big or small, makes a real difference in the life of a family in need.
