GBVF and violent crimes don’t end with 16 Days of Activism or Women’s Month — they affect us every single day in a country of over 62 million people. Please listen to this Cape Talk interview about the Hand Signal for Help Campaign and consider joining as a volunteer — from any province.
The reality is this: we often contribute to the societal messes we see, yet we expect government and organisations to clean up after us. Just like COVID-19 demanded a united, national response, this campaign deserves the same urgency and seriousness — because lives are at stake every day.
That’s why we are calling on all responsible citizens to step forward.
Real change starts with us, when we put our hearts and hands together to build safer communities. Let’s take responsibility. Let’s take action .....

The GBVF crisis in South Africa is a pandemic without a vaccine. Every day delayed costs lives.

We have the media tools, public trust, and implementation capacity and now just needs the fund to launch this Covid 19 like awareness Campaign.

PLAY FOR CHANGE
SPORTING LEGENDS TRADE PLACES FOR A CHALLENGE WITH A CAUSE.
24-09-25

We had an incredible time yesterday at Western Province Cricket ClubPLAY FOR CHANGE! Sporting legends traded places for a challenge with a cause, all in honor of Heritage Day. The event was an absolute success.

The action was streamed live with commentary from legendary broadcaster Andy Capostagno, giving everyone a chance to watch, donate, and support HRSF's Universal Hand Signal for Help campaign raising awareness of GBVF and human trafficking.

In addition, we pledged our support to the Human Rights Screened Foundation in their efforts to promote human rights and equality for all.

Throwback to one of our earliest journeys
Back to basics — Film & TV training at Overberg Correctional Centre. I was joined by my late little Silky, who unexpectedly became more than just my pet… she became everyone’s therapy dog.
From the ride there, to playing with students, to standing patiently in line with them, Silky reminded us all of the power of kindness, healing, and connection.

This memory will always stay close — a reminder of why Human Rights Screened Foundation continues to use film as a tool for hope, skills, and second chances.
