What to Wear
There’s no formal dress code. Many attendees enjoy dressing up and making a night of it—others come in business casual. We encourage you to wear what makes you feel like the best version of yourself. When to Arrive
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before curtain to allow time for parking, picking up your tickets, and getting settled. Some performances feature pre-show talks, which begin about 60 minutes before curtain—check your ticket or our website for details. Late Arrival Policy
Late seating is extremely limited and not guaranteed. When available, a single late seating opportunity is offered during the first act at the discretion of our front of house staff. We strongly recommend planning ahead for parking and traffic—please do not rely on late seating. Accessibility
All Opera Baltimore venues offer wheelchair-accessible seating and entrances. Please call 443.445.0226 in advance to reserve accessible seating. Accessible seats do sell out, so early booking is recommended. Children and Families
We welcome children age 6 and up who are able to sit quietly throughout the performance. Strollers must be parked in designated areas in the lobby. Supertitles and Language
Most productions are performed in the original language with English supertitles projected above the stage. Some works may be sung in English with titles provided for accessibility. You’ll always be able to follow the story. Run Time
Opera Baltimore productions typically run 2 to 2.5 hours, including at least one intermission. Visit the event page for performance-specific details. Programs and Concessions
Printed programs are available at all performances. Concessions are available at most venues before the show and during intermission. Photography & Phones
Photos and video are not permitted during the performance. Feel free to take photos in the lobby or with our signage before the show or during intermission—and tag us . Don Giovanni Portraits brings audiences face to face with Donna Anna, Donna Elvira, Leporello, Zerlina, Don Ottavio, Masetto, and the legendary libertine himself. Through the opera’s most revealing scenes and arias, each character emerges with striking humanity. Their passion, desire, humor, heartbreak, and moral choices drive one of the greatest operas ever written.

Performed in Opera Baltimore’s signature up-close format at the Engineers Club, this special event puts Mozart’s music and the unamplified human voice at the center. 🎶 Meet our pop-up performers for next week’s Voices in Solidarity Festival! 🎶

🎼 IAHIAL is a sonic alchemist, weaving sound into immersive experiences that transcend the ordinary. A recording and performing artist, composer, musician, soundscape designer, and sound healer, IAHIAL crafts intentional, transformative soundscapes that resonate with the spirit.

🎼 Zoё Johnstone Stewart is a performer, educator, and arts administrator in the Baltimore area. She serves as the Executive Director of the Guitar Foundation of America and as a member of the guitar faculty at the Peabody Conservatory, while maintaining a thriving private teaching studio.

🎼 Turkish mezzo-soprano and Fulbright alumna Dr. Lori Şen is acclaimed for her versatility in opera, art song, musical theatre, and jazz, with performances spanning Turkey, Europe, and the United States. In addition to her dynamic career as a performer, Lori is deeply engaged in teaching and research, specializing in vocal literature, voice pedagogy, and voice science. Lori and Zoë will be performing Sephardic Art Song.

Opera Baltimore’s 2026–2027 season is about desire and its consequences. Three operas, three different kinds of wanting. In each one, someone chases something they know might destroy them—a person, power, a life that feels possible for one moment. What makes these stories urgent is that desire does not announce itself as dangerous. It feels like the right choice until it isn’t.

This season explores what happens when desire wins and when it loses. When the stakes are love. When they are survival. When you watch these three stories unfold, you will see the full weight of what wanting can do to a person: how it drives them forward, how it blinds them, how it breaks them. That is what Opera Baltimore is asking you to sit with this year.

“We’ll anchor by and by.”

This Juneteenth, we revisit this powerful performance of “Stand the Storm,” performed by baritone Daniel Rich and pianist JoyAnne Amani–a reminder of the enduring role African-American spirituals have played in carrying generations through struggle with faith and perseverance.

Daniel Rich designed and presented “Roots and Resonance” this past February, a recital exploring Black artistic expression, presented in partnership with the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture as part of our “Voices in Solidarity” project.
