🍔🎸 A Huge Success for Our Community! 🎶🚒

On Sunday, June 14, 2026, the Livingston Rotary Club and the Livingston Police Department PBA teamed up to host an incredible Summerfest Food Truck & Music Festival!

Thanks to the fantastic turnout, vibrant energy, and community spirit, we are thrilled to announce that a remarkable $26,750 was officially donated to the PBA!

"Our community truly appreciates the dedication, hard work, and continuous service of our local police officers."

A massive thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the delicious food, incredible music, and great company for such a worthy cause. Events like this remind us just how strong Livingston's community spirit really is! 💙🤝

🌊☀️ An incredible day of fun, sun, and cultural exchange!
The Livingston Rotary Club proudly sponsor an epic Beach Day for the amazing students in our Japanese Youth Exchange program! 🏖️🍔
For 48 years, our district has hosted this life-changing program. This year, we are excited to welcome 20 high school students all the way from the island of Oshika, Japan! 🇯🇵🇺🇸 They are spending three weeks here in NJ, living with local host families and experiencing American culture.
Today’s beach trip was an absolute blast! Despite some language barriers, our American and Japanese students wasted no time making unforgettable memories together:
* 🌊 Splashing and jumping right into the ocean waves
* 🏐 Epic matches of beach volleyball
* 🪢 A fierce and hilarious competitive tug-of-war
* 🍔🍦 Fueling up with classic cheeseburgers and cooling down with delicious ice cream!
Big shoutout to our fantastic host families, dedicated volunteers, and everyone who keeps this wonderful tradition alive year after year. Here's to lifelong friendships that cross oceans! 💛🤝

🎒❤️ What an incredible day!

A few of us from the Livingston Rotary Club had the privilege of volunteering at the “Back To School Store” event at Temple Beth Shalom today! There is truly nothing quite like seeing the big smiles and pure excitement on the kids' faces when they get ready for the new school year! 😊✨

Through this amazing initiative by Tovah, about 800 children received everything they need to head back to class with confidence—from brand-new outfits, perfectly fit sneakers, and warm winter coats to backpacks fully stocked with school supplies, books, and everyday essentials. Knowing that families can access all of this and valuable community resources completely free of charge makes it all the more special.

We are so proud to be part of a community that comes together to support kids and set them up for success. 🙌📚

🥂 What an unforgettable night for the Livingston Rotary Club!

Last night, we gathered for our annual installation dinner to celebrate fellowship, lifelong friendships, and the amazing families who support us every step of the way. Good food, fine wine, and a shared commitment to making a difference right here in our community made it a night to remember! 💫

We rolled out the red carpet to honor our past presidents and incredible members who go above and beyond. A massive shoutout to our outgoing president, Harshavardhan, for an exceptionally successful year—growing our membership, fueling our dedication to local events, and setting a seriously high bar for the future! 🌟

As one chapter closes, a new one begins! We are beyond thrilled and deeply grateful to our treasurer turned incoming President for the 2026–2027 term, Robert Emert, for stepping up to lead the charge. The future is bright! ✨

Guided by Rotary International’s motto—“Service Above Self”—we are ready for another incredible year of unselfish volunteer service, impactful projects, and community connection. 🤝❤️

# # # Community Impact in Action! 🎒✨

This morning, the Rotary Club of Livingston rolled up our sleeves and had a blast packing hygiene kits for the upcoming Tovah Back 2 School Store (B2SS) happening on August 2! 😁

Every summer, B2SS welcomes 1,000 underprivileged children for an incredible shopping experience. They receive all brand-new items including a winter coat, scarf, hat, gloves, sneakers, an outfit, socks, a backpacks filled with school supplies, and personal care essentials. This huge savings for families helps alleviate stress for families and these children will head back to school with smiles and the confidence to learn! 👟📚

A massive thank you to Andrew Spehar of All Square Performance Chiropractic and Golf Livingston for hosting our packing event today. We are so proud to support such a life-changing initiative for Essex County children and families.

Rotary District 7475 opens final call for student exchange to Japan!

High school students ages 15–17 have a final opportunity to apply for the 2026 Rotary Short-Term Youth Exchange to Japan.
This three-week cultural exchange will take place July 1–22, 2026 and gives students the chance to experience Japanese culture, stay with host families, visit historic sites, and build friendships that can last a lifetime.

Applications are due on or before May 15, 2026.

On a rainy, cloudy morning, Livingston Rotary Club members showed up with energy and purpose alongside our Interact High School Club, Rotary’s youth service partner, for Pick It Up Livingston.
It was a morning filled with teamwork, laughter, and purpose as Rotarians and student volunteers came together to make a real difference. Along the way, we discovered some interesting items hidden in the brush and along the roadsides and plenty of surprises that sparked smiles and stories.

Rotary’s mission: uniting people to take action and create cleaner, healthier, and stronger communities.
