We have been busy, getting the garden space ready for planting this Sunday (5/24)! Mark your calendars to join us at 12! 🌱❤️🌎

Thank you to Steve Jones for tilling the soil! He always does great work, and we appreciate his contribution to this community project!

Another big thank you goes out to the Travis & Michele Wetter family for their help with some gardenscaping and delivering a load of organic fertilizer to help our plants grow big and strong! Who knew it would be so exciting to receive a big heaping pile of poo!?!?

This is what the community garden looks like in April. Within these two greenhouses we have started growing 4 types of tomatoes, 3 types of peppers, 2 types of brussel sprouts, 2 types of broccoli, 2 types of cabbage, kale, & celery. It's amazing to think that with soil, water, and warmth, the 674 seeds that were planted will grow into the vegetable plants that we will harvest from this summer. God is Good. 🌱❤️🌎

As any farmer or gardener knows, no matter how much one plans, amends, and nurtures the crops they raise...ultimately the harvest is always impacted by variables outside of ones control.

Check out all of the fresh veggies grown in the Livingston Community Garden, harvested by volunteers, and donated to the LCIC food pantry for today's distribution.
* 16 lbs. of green beans
* 2 lbs. of lettuce
* 2.5 lbs. of shelling peas
* 5 lbs. of sugar snap peas
