Quickest update from one very happy Vet Nurse Michelle after finally reuniting with Mani following his 10 days in NZ quarantine! ❤️🐾

We’ve still got about 5 more hours in the car until he gets home, but he’s doing amazingly well. He's been so relaxed, happily watching all the other cars go by out the window 😆🚗

Seeing his happy face and getting those cuddles again has made every minute of the wait worthwhile. Now it's just the final stretch before this beautiful boy is finally home where he belongs. 🏡❤️

Thank you so much to everyone who has followed Mani's journey, sent messages, and cheered him on. We can't wait to share the moment he walks through the front door! 🐶💙

🏠 Could You Be the Perfect Home for This Gentle 3-Legged Dog? 🐶

Looking for a forever home for this beautiful tripod, Moa. We rescued Moa from outside Moto’otua Hospital about 8 months ago. She had been hit by a bus and her leg was badly broken. Our friendsAPS Samoaamoa had to amputate the broken leg, but she’s healed beautifully and now runs faster than any of the 4 legged dogs! We adore her, but sadly she isn’t getting along with 2 of the other dogs. She is competitive with other females and dominant with younger males, so ideally would be best in a home with older adult male dogs.

Moa is:
- fiercely loyal
- active and playful
- a fantastic guard dog
- always the most wiggly and happy to see you
- super loving and affectionate once you’ve earned her trust (she’s nervous of new people , but will love you once you feed her dinner!)
- desexed and flea/tick/worm-free!

By Michelle Schmanski, Vet Nurse (NZ) Following my volunteer tenure with SPAW in August to Samoa, I stayed a few days at Coconuts Beach Resort. As our APS and SPAW team comes to the end of an incredible week in Aleipata, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Taufua Beach Fales, the village representatives, and everyone who welcomed us with such warmth, kindness, and generosity.

This week has been filled with purpose, compassion, and community. Together, through our outreach efforts, we were able to provide care to so many animals, helping ensure healthier and happier lives throughout the communities we visited. The impact of this work would not have been possible without the support, hospitality, and encouragement we received every step of the way.

A very special thank you for the beautiful farewell celebration that was organized for our team. The love, culture, and genuine spirit of Samoa shone brightly through every moment. We were deeply touched by the precious gifts and tokens of love that were shared with us, treasured pieces of Samoa that our team members will carry home as lasting reminders of the friendships, memories, and connections made here. Our team had the very best and entertaining night.

To every person who contributed, welcomed us, shared a smile, prepared a meal, offered assistance, or simply opened their hearts to us, fa'afetai tele lava. Your generosity and kindness have left an unforgettable mark on each of us.

We leave with full hearts, wonderful memories, and immense appreciation for the people of this beautiful community.

With lots of alofas and sincere gratitude,

The APS&SPAW Team ❤️
